RhosdduCowboyParticipantBecause Europe Direct offer start up guidance for new ventures in this part of Europe as well. Maybe go and check out their services.
RhosdduCowboyParticipantYes Janey, mine too! Like you say it would’ve been nice to know the reason as my post wasn’t derogatory.
Although, the last time I saw the Prince he did say:
‘look into my eyes, not around the eyes, look into my eyes, you’re under. You will vote for me and you will agree with my policy of letting weeds grow on grass verges to promote the welfare of creepy crawlies. 321 you’re back in the room.’
RhosdduCowboyParticipantMine’s been deleted too! Smacks of Big Brother.
RhosdduCowboyParticipantHas anyone considered how increased automation will encourage the drug culture in the town? The main Library is a hub of dealing. Drugs are hidden in obscure books whilst the exchange of money occurs elsewhere. That’s a fact. However, the management structure is archaic and a lot of these individuals would struggle to operate in the private sector. They’ve been cosseted by this cottage environment all their working lives. I’d much rather be served by a machine.

RhosdduCowboyParticipantTotally agree with the previous contributors. This is totally driven by profit. It’s a dump – and that picture was taken after a tidy up. I know because I used to live within spitting distance. Broken glass in the front door which was left for months and rubbish strewn everywhere. The telephone box opposite is used as an exchange for drug deals. And the crossroad with Poplar & Talbot Road is a blind crossing. So dangerous that I highlighted it in a Council survey. What did they do? Nothing. No consideration for the school children going to and from St Giles’ Primary.
RhosdduCowboyParticipantDing Ding. Break it up! It’s only an A.
RhosdduCowboyParticipantHold on a cotton pickin’ minute Degsy. You want your own Parliament, openly despise the English and have people posting on this very site with the username Chestersh*te. And you honestly expect to use our facilities? I’ll just live on this side of the border and collect my free prescriptions thank you very much! Back of the net!
March 28, 2019 at 3:03 pm in reply to: Question …. What is Wrexham Council doing to alleviate poverty? #165948
RhosdduCowboyParticipantBack to the original question. What is WCBC doing about homelessness. Answer: Nothing. Homelessness comes hand in hand with drug abuse. The majority of these people are well grounded citizens experiencing hard times. Since working in the town for seven years alongside many of these people I have known of eight homeless or borderline homeless people who have lost their lives to drugs.
The problem won’t go away. It’s socio-economic. The Council need to take the problem off the streets. Convert the old Grove School into a safe haven offering short and longer term boarding. Dedicated and monitored substance imbibing areas. Needle exchange. Relocate help organisations such as CAIS and soup kitchens all under one roof.
It won’t solve the problem but it will offer a means to change lives and make the streets safer and more attractive.
RhosdduCowboyParticipantI’d like to compliment you on your approach to the subject and your honesty. We agree the rules, play the game and should accept the outcome. Good or bad.
RhosdduCowboyParticipantIt’s ludicrous it’s 24 hours Pay & Display. Should be free when the shops are closed. And the ticket machines don’t give change!
