MP1953Participant
over the last 8 weeks since the new tarmac between robetsons garage and the brymbo road the cars are doing well over 30 miles an hour some are doing 50 plus I see this every day and night and all I want to say is this.
ONE OF YOU WILL BE THE FIRST PERSON TO KILL A KID HERE.
what you all don’t no is we have 2 new housing estates and the kids are now between 8 and 13 we can not even come on to the main raod with out some one speeding so be warned the police have been told and speed camras are there
Quite correct Speed Kills, despite what some think on here !

What’s he going to pay with ? His benefit’s money? Profits from drug dealing ? Mugging old ladies ? Burglary ?
Thats a bit harse AMA, I know two people in QP that are not actually on benifits!!
You can’t call it QP (Queens Park) it’s a much better place now it is called CP !!!
MP1953Participant
If children know what is going on, surely the authorities do.
Well, nothing’s changed in the 50 odd years since I was a kid. We always knew which shop we could get our single Woodbines for a penny from. Old Bill knew f*** all.

Charles Street :)
but there was never the likes of all the drunks/druggies/dealers etc. hanging about on what seems to be every corner these days and all the authorities pandering to them all, an example being the public toilets in Brooke Street that are being converted into some sort of centre for people who drink to much, when public toilets are now like rocking horse S*** in Wrexham town centre.
MP1953Participant
And finally, what is ISIS end game. To get the infidel onto the battlefield for a war that will see the end of the world. They believe that when the west send in troops they will see the end of the world with a few of them surviving to see the rebirth of true Islam. So let’s not give them the infidel, let’s get Muslim countries to demolish them.
If they were ever to fight on a battlefield Daesh would loose, the only so called victories they can have is by blowing themselves up or murdering innocent people.
MP1953Participant
“The weight of the invoice is made up of labour for an electrician, taking an hour and a half at nearly £23ph to fit and test the light.
Another invoice for ‘attending to faulty smoke alarms’ in the Butchers Market trader toilets lists two 9 volt batteries for a normal £4.72 . Again, the weight of the invoice is made up of a hour and a half labour charge at just under £22ph, presumable to fit and test the changed batteries.”
The time taken to replace a bulb and fit a battery amazes me , are we paying for travelling time ?

Money is being wasted top to bottom/bottom to top all the way through within the Wrexham Council, and to be fair is probably much the same throughout the country, this sort of instance/example is just the bottom of the ice berg, or is it tip !!! and as far as having a pop they need a good popping :)

MP1953Participant
WrecsamGirl, in my memory, it was always so. For some reason, Wrexham people seem to prefer to eat out of town. I can only recall The Steak and Claret restaurant in Regent House offering what is now called fine dining. From the 1960’s people seemed to prefer places like the Golden Groves, The Cross Lanes, Grosvenor (Pulford and Aldford) to name but a few. I guess because Wrexham has always been a barracks town and the centre a bit ‘er how can I put this nicely, “rough”, people have celebrated their special times away from town. Having said that, when I look around, there is more food choice now than I ever recall.
On a related topic, does anyone remember The Eat Easy restaurant in Queen St? That was a bit radical in it’s day!!
Yes the Eat Easy on the site of the old Talbot was a nice restaurant, especially for the day and for Wrexham! it didn’t last that long though if I remember for reasons as above!!
MP1953Participant
Benjamin M.
I really have no interest in your attempts to make the Wrexham Forums your own platform.
Every time I post you disparage me. Good job we are not face to face in debate.
I am not the idiot that you try to portray me as, far from it.
As for you.. phht… frankly I am not interested in your views or your form of expressing
them.OK? Please in future refrain from commenting on Anything that I post and I shall do the
same in respect to any of your self-opinionated outbursts. Goodnight and Goodbye.
Well said That Monitor :)
MP1953ParticipantIts not often that I am in agreement with what Benjamin M posts but completely agree with this one, although to be fair to Wrexham Council, (that’s a first for me!) they are not alone in using sledge hammers to crack nuts, its a feature/tactic that is used across this country in our ever increasing over the top P.C. country..
MP1953ParticipantStill say there is plenty of room for two cars to go under there at the same time :) ;)
