I thought the Test Centre was in Hightown?

Anyone else got anything. Surprised that nobody but Bugsy can think of something in their community that needs sorting!

I love the snow. Can’t wait.

I also don’t see any problem driving on it, so long as you’re sensible it’s fine. To be honest I think if you can’t drive on snow you shouldn’t be on the road.

The number of idiots you see trying to start off in 1st gear when it’s snowed like they would normally and just wheel-spinning. Others slam on their brakes just before reaching a car in front like they’d normally do, finding it surprising that snow is slippy and they can’t stop. Duh!

(I’m a very tolerant person really!)

That sounds like a good idea! Just a bit of a worry that sort of thing hurts local butchers because it makes the supermarket look professional or expert in that area.

From what I’ve heard they do employ people who have been local butchers, so really it is helping them. Less butcher’s shops, yes, but the butchers themselves are still being employed.

To all those that moan about all the empty shops in Wrexham now – take a look at this and tell me you’d like to go back to those times! Most of the town seems derelict in that shot! Rose-tinted glasses anyone?

The plans look like rows and rows of terraced housing to me – probably just the sort of thing that was knocked down in slum clearances to be replaced by… yes, you’ve guessed it, Hightown Flats.

    Going round in circles anyone?

Everyone complains now about ‘concrete monstrosities’ that were high rise flats, but in truth the problem with them was poor maintenance, and abuse by tenants, not the architecture.

If its not looked after by tenants and landlords alike, whatever they build will be a rundown mess in a few years.

This sounds a great idea – have you done this every year or is this new this year?

Last year was the first time we’ve done it, and it was really successful. Raised us much needed funds, everyone enjoyed getting out there delivering trees and posting leaflets, and our customers were really happy with the quality of the trees.

I had a pint of it in The Bank last weekend and it was really nice. Just wish they’d serve it in the Goulbourne, but I’ve been told it’s out of the question. :(
