morri58ParticipantAnd yet another arson attack in Wrexham, only a matter of time before someone’s killed through it. Then the police will be swarming the estates when it’s too late.
morri58ParticipantIf they are civilian staff then they are wearing police uniform, as I have spoken to them at the roadside. Yes there have been police cuts but they need to be seen or sometimes not to be seen to catch these yobs in the act.
morri58ParticipantPolice seem to have the resources to be parked up with their arrive alive vans, why aren’t they patrolling estates in unmarked cars trying to catch these louts setting cars etc on fire. While the public can help it’s not their job to be the police.
morri58ParticipantThey might of been better going to The Pebble which has now closed down. Like has been said that premises has failed 3 times already & they will be even nearer to Jones’s now which is nearly always busy.
morri58ParticipantThe easy answer would be have catalogues in one of the Wrexham stores but not in the other. You would of thought Argos would have them in one of the stores rather than tell people to go to Chester.
morri58ParticipantI’ll be cutting down the number I buy a week now, just not worth the money, half the stories and articles are of no interest. Far more news stories in The Daily Post. Sales will be well down again now. Could be on it’s last legs the way things are going if they don’t get decent news in it. When it was The evening leader years ago you used to get news from the same morning & it was in the paper when it came out in the afternoon, now some of the news is days old which you have already read elsewhere.

morri58ParticipantI also remember seeing XTC at Cartefle collage, really good night that was. They used to have some good bands on there from time to time. A good one there also was a French band Little Bob Story & Also a folk type group Plexus who were also well loved by the students.

morri58ParticipantI remember going to see Thin Lizzy at the William Aston Hall but they failed to turn up, Medicine Head who had just had 3 hit singles took over the headline slot with local band Fagin taking over the support, it was a great night. Also at the same venue was Geordie whose lead singer was none other than AC/DC’s Brian Johnson. Another band I really enjoyed in Wrexham at Central Station was Company of Snakes which featured 3 original members of Whitesnake. The Saw Doctors also put on 2 great shows at Central Station.
morri58ParticipantI am not surprised sales are down, some of the news is days old that you have already read in another paper. its also full of pictures of events around the area rather than news stories. Gone downhill since it became a morning paper rather then when it was the Evening leader which used to have news that had happened the same morning.
morri58ParticipantSame thing happened to me a while back when I was parked up, came back to find the back bumper all scraped. I had only had the car 9 days it made me feel sick to the stomach. Some people have no respect for other peoples things. I bet they would go mad if it was the other way around.
