You won’t be able to get any accurate data from June onwards as only 50% of vehicles are obeying the 50 mph speed limit. When the cameras are installed and the speed limit is been obeyed ,then we should be collect accurate data.

Average speed cameras for the A483,A5156 are a no brainer, especially if they incorporate ANPR .They will stop the roads being used as a racetrack. If you stay within the law you have nothing to fear.

The rose tinted brigade are spouting the usual rubbish in defence of the travellers, nobody wants them on their doorstep as they don’t behave like decent people, just wake up and smell the coffe. Its well documented what they get up to ,so there is no need to start listing their misdeeds.
Well done councillor Atkinson for taking prompt action.
What the hell has Andrew Atkinson done to have his every move rubbished on here.

He went out to try to sort out the problem with the illegal camp on a Sunday while the rest of the residents were sitting at home soaking up the sun. Whatever he does it seems to be picked up on here and pounced upon with mindless and untrue quotes. If you think that you can do the job better, stand up at the next election and be counted.
Agree with the above, just doing what the residents of Gresford voted him in for.
Have you EVEN been on the Enviro City 400 buses on the Wrexham to Chester route#? They are a joy, with comfy seats, stop start technology and even USB charging slots. They are also very punctual and the Arriva app is fantatstic. No wonder they have a monopoly, they move with the times!
Totally agree.

Restrict the use of traffic lights on junctions to busy times would help traffic flow and help reduce air pollutants from standing vehicles.

I very much think that the use of traffic lights around Wrexham is actually an important safety consideration judging on the Mad Max style approaches people have to various junctions/roundabouts in town when the lights are down.
I think in some cases it would be far safer, you only have to walk down to the Gresford roundabout and the number of vehicles going though on red beggars belief,if the traffic lights were off, most sensible people would be taking a more cautious approach .

All roads that run alongside urban developments should be limited to 50mph ,this would help reduce air plus noise pollution.I hope this is backed with average speed cameras.

Does not make any sense why the link road is not included in this plan for Wrexham.
I honestly believe it’s because our councillors are a bunch of amateurs. It’s our own fault for electing them, but I don’t feel we had much of a choice. Do we even know whether the spin they gave us about themselves when canvassing was accurate? Does anyone do any fact checking?
I feel that Wrexham council basically aspires to mediocrity – and still fails to attain it.
The councillors are not responsible for checking work carried out by contractors ,that is the responsibility of various council employees .
