MattJParticipantJust because we’ve had travel restrictions limiting the number of cars on the road you think its ok to come on here and imply that this isn’t a great council success story. Ludicrous.
MattJParticipantYes its illegal throughout the UK, being drunk in a pub is also illegal. It’s almost as if these laws are outdated. Obviously its about money not safety.
MattJParticipantIt’s not really Arriva’s fault there’s a pandemic. You could go and pick holes at many other things.
Wrexham: 50mph to save the planet
Also Wrexham: Using an e-scooter is illegalI’m fairly sure that the Police, Council and Club are all being managed by Mr Keates
MattJParticipantI don’t care how long it takes based on speed limit.
I couldn’t care less if there’s speed cameras in Africa or your back garden. The point is the clowns in suits can’t even tell if the changes will be effective and they’ve wasted a load of time and money in the process.
MattJParticipantLesley Griffith’s heads so far in the clouds its probably a safety risk to airplanes.
“I think we need to make the public aware of why we’ve brought them in and why we’re going to make them permanent.”
No love, we’re very aware. It doesn’t take a genius to work out the increased traffic in the area will result in higher NO2 readings at the road side. The amount of people slamming on their brakes to allow others to merge on the stretch of road also does wonders for the environment.
If you want to make people aware why not change the message on the two electric signs (great for the environment) now situated at the side of the road. The signs currently read ‘Please drive responsibly’. Id suggest these are changed to “This road is operated by buffoons” or “We don’t know what we’re doing, send help.”
MattJParticipantI also think they should narrow the road, I like a challenge.

…can’t be bothered to register let alone use their vote. They don’t even have to leave their computer screens, as they can register online, ask for a postal vote and get someone else to post it!
Can’t be bothered? I’d be surprised if they even knew about a local election.
This generation uses the internet, maybe they should put some effort into that form of media to communicate with people?
According to the leader live the candidates in my area (penycae) are John Phillips and Aled Prys Powell.
A google search for ‘Aled Prys Powell’ or ‘Aled Prys Powell penycae’ comes up with no useful information, the most useful link is the leader site saying they’re a candidate and nothing more.
A search for John Phillips comes up with his meeting attendance and his name on a the Pen-Y-Cae Community Council list.
So, I know nothing about these people and they want my vote? Why would I vote blind when I don’t have to vote at all?
The notice boards on local houses saying ‘vote John Phillips’ are about as useful as a wet paper bag. If you’re going to get boards made up then for sure make a website and stick it on said board. Who are these people, what are their aims?
As mentioned https://wrexham.com/election2017/ is growing, and all candidates have had letters and 66 have accessed the system in just under the first week.
You mention the Leader, I would imagine they are using their tremendous resources to ensure even more information is put out locally.
They put together a ‘military style operation’ to get the draw yer mum stuff sorted, and even produced their own PR about it, http://www.holdthefrontpage.co.uk/2016/news/military-style-operation-complete-for-publishers-mothers-day-project/ ! I doubt kids colouring pics of the mum in to print is a higher priority than important once every five year elections – although since they did changed their mind and ended up not bothering sending anyone to the EU referendum count I could be disappointed…

Not questioning your efforts Here Rob, you’re clearly putting in more than my candidates.
If they’re not responding to your questions by the registration cut off date then I won’t be responding with a vote.
I’ll be sitting at home drawing a picture of my mum whilst you all vote :)

MattJParticipantCan you all provide me with all your internet search/download history? Whilst you’re at it can you let me know where you work so I an follow you around 24/7?
I mean, if you’ve done nothing wrong you have nothing to worry about.
