Very apt to choose a date where we celebrate all things that have been extravagantly dressed up and are of make believe. Enjoy.

Boris has single handedly taken out his own party, the Government and now wants to drag down the monarchy with him. All so he can get a footnote in the history books*

    Bravo.

*probably a poorly edited Wikipedia article.

Their use of the term overtrading is completely inaccurate – the correct definition is:

Overtrading is a term in financial statement analysis. Overtrading often occurs when companies expand their own operations too quickly (aggressively).

Which could ironically actually apply in this case to Lidl and most likely Costa expanding another chain into the same nearby location in town.

At no point are the current town centre operations saying oh please don’t give me too many sales in my existing sustainable locations by £75m. I tell you what we need another supermarket and another coffee chain to take away some of our profits because we just can’t carry all this money to the bank. It’s absolutely ludicrous.

The very fact that they are also going on data that is 5 years old in 2014 going back before the larger Iceland food warehouse existed in town and the Range with another Iceland in it, before Aldi next to Morrison’s existed and the other Aldi hadn’t expanded. There is also the glut of coffee shops that have now opened in town over the past 5 years alongside a number of other coffee drive throughs currently being built.

It is very concerning that the town’s planning officer is accepting such laughable and embarrassing financial bullshit to consider the application for approval.
I agree Captain C. Plenty of issues around Borras and Little Acton that don’t get dealt with, just ignored. AA seems to get his sorted out, good on him! Could do with him in Acton & Borras.
I know, why don’t you clone him? I can see it now local elections 2022 – an Andrew for every area.

Former councillors Pritchard and Bithell and everyone else in shock defeats as Clr Atkinson clones sweep the board in every single ward. Newly appointed Council Leader Atkinson expected to name his dream team Executive Board later this week with Atkinson & Atkinson all hotly tipped for the top jobs in charge of Environment and the Economy.

Mayor Atkinson to be sworn in next week.

Surely you all have local community councils in your areas? There’s usually 1 or 2 people within that community council who go round dealing with issues like this. At least that’s how it works in Penycae. They usually get volunteers out to collect the litter etc…

Perhaps they need to get people to form together into a group and go on a weeding day around your respective areas.

No doubt that sort of positive and proactive behaviour would be frowned upon by the council because of health and safety in this day and age – in case someone trips over a daisy and sues. Or DBS checks required for all!

Smoke and Mirrors. After years of the Council Leadership and the Executive Board asserting ‘The Buck Stop Here’ style management and control of the budget and everything that goes on across the county in terms of spending due to there being so many Difficult Decisions in play. Then conveniently ignorance is plead when something beneficial for councillors and senior officers occurs – like someone approved several tonnes of tarmac, a number of large yellow construction vehicles and the labourers to do the job – without anyone at top level noticing.

A masterstroke because we are still almost 2 years away from the local elections and most incumbents know that even if bad behaviour is afoot and ill will is put against the poor long suffering locals they’ll still all get voted back in without lifting so much as a finger and we’ll have another Clr Pritchard led Tory-Indy coalition for another 5 years.

The same concerned folks will cry out for change in the way the Council operates and how we need fresh blood running the town, but the 70% of the town who never turn up to vote at the local elections stick 2 fingers up at us all and themselves as they want the town to be continuously ran in a piss poor manner.

Nevermind, a nice shiny resurfaced for Wrexham’s finest – whilst the rest of us can play dodge the potholes across the rest of town. Don’t worry the cold weather will set in soon and there’ll be even more holes to avoid. Bravo.
One man’s weed is another man’s flower. Remember that Wrexham Council has been urged to allow wildflowers to grow on grass verges throughout the county.
So these weeds/ flowers are helping with biodiversity and saving a lot of cash so they can tarmac the Councillor and Top Management Car Park (had a look when on the way to Saith Seren and it was looking good)
I did comment the other day that the roundabouts looked sh1te now the flowers were dead and needed burning off.

JP is right about the rubbish. You see a lot of nobs with stuff falling off their trailers BUT its better than fly tipping ain’t it?

Going to help the towns economy now and pop over to the dirty dragon.
How does the garden grow at Château Conseiller X? Also who’s in charge of green thumbs duty Mr or Mrs X?
