Does Matt work for the BBC? The use of selective quotes to misinform and deceive is a pretty poor show Matt, you should apologise…! But on reflection this is what the LEFT are good at, next you will be quoting from some dodgy dossier.

@ Madman. Your missing the fact that people are criticising her for merely representing a political party they don’t agree with or support. I’m no super fan of Atherton, I just believe she is new in post, she is trying to establish herself in a time of social distance – which is not easy. I feel we should give her time.

As I said in a previous post, other retailers or business openers wishing to advertise should call upon her to support them, if she doesn’t then they should call her out on this. But let’s give her a chance!

Captain C has it right… Wrexham Leader 23rd June 2020
For those LEFTIE’S who refuse to acknowledge the truth, have a look….

Atherton is quoted as saying the following…

Headline: “Wrexham MP urges shoppers to support local businesses as lockdown measures are eased”

Ms Atherton said: “Many small businesses in Wrexham and across the country have been devastated by the coronavirus outbreak. Businesses across Wrexham have made huge financial sacrifices by shutting their doors to help slow and prevent the spread of coronavirus, we can show our support by making the choice to shop locally.
“During the lockdown we have bought a great deal from the internet, but now that our shops are open, I encourage everyone to get back to buying from independent and local businesses wherever we can.
“Wrexham has a variety of shops that need your support. From clothes, to DIY products and everything in between. Everything we need can be found on our doorstep.
“Small businesses are at the heart of our communities.
“Let’s do all that we can do to support local businesses and to awaken our high street from its long slumber.”

Atherton’s sentiments could not be clearer…!

Rex Ham, your not part of the ‘tin hat brigade are you’.? She is there promoting a local business who actively employ adults with learning difficulties, retired people who wish to return to work and young people who are at College / University. They are a company who offer generous pay and shift allowances, who provide staff with free food during break times. Most other companies actively avoid employing the aforementioned groups as often viewing them as ‘unemployable or too old and past it’.

If local companies wish to promote their business using the MP, then they should write to her and ask. Those who don’t get a reply should call he rout on that! But don’t criticise the MP or McDonalds on their desire to promote the fact their business is open!

you pair of snobs…! if she’s promoting a local business who employ local people where’s the harm in that, forget your international perspectives, sometimes it’s a little closer to home. This is typical LEFTIE sentiments, you like nothing more than to criticise, hence your appalling election results…looking down your nose…! You will never learn will you?

@ janeywxm…do you think Kinnock should have been sacked for breaking the rules? Personally, I would have liked to have seen both Kinnock and Cummings given the boot as a warning to others!

@ Zinger, little point in engaging ‘NEVERHARD’, he won’t view your comment as constructive. He’s a typical leftie – so blinkered in his hatred for the Tories, that he can’t be honest and impartial and recognise there are many on the LEFT who have flouted and broken the rules too. All rule braking in respect of COVID -19 is wrong in my opinion!

I bet he’s still fizzing over BREXIT too….that’s why I have taken to laughing at him.
