Thank you lily for telling us men how we should feel. I’m sure PMLC staff have enough to do without fielding complaints from affronted males, if indeed there are any.

Well that little attempt at council bashing failed Wxmanon. We should be thankful that we have a well organised electoral system in place aided by able council and non-council staff.

I wouldn’t want live next door to a HMO because the residents are usually temporary (mainly students) and some, not all, have a disregard for their immediate neighbourhood or can be generally disruptive borne from a large number of non-related people living together. The reason landlords create HMOS’s is purely financial. In a student HMO , no one pays council tax but the landlord makes a huge amount in rent. It’s such a shame to see these lovely buildings sectioned off into bedsits but Wrexham has a large student contingent who need housing I guess.

Of maybe sick of the constant negativity (some , but not all justified) and hoping to move on from the rather depressingly repetitive comments from largely the same group of contributors. A new chapter. Would be nice to hear the true picture from the remaining traders.

Any idea why they are closing CW?

It would be nice to hear from actual traders about what’s going on. Are there any there who are actually prospering? Is Ty Pawb working for them? Is the negativity on these forums a true reflection of the majority of traders or just a polarised view based on a few unhappy traders who aren’t realising the profits they were expecting?

Maybe the council could clarify in plain English what the rates are actually spent on. That way people might actually be a bit more willing to pay or pay extra. I would pay more to protect essential services, but wouldn’t want to subsidise those who don’t/won’t pay.

Interesting use of the word ‘snoop’. If council’s are using social media in official investigations which are in the public interest, then what’s the problem? What about the Newport couple selling illegal football shirts online, or the woman from Barry who claimed benefits as a single person and was caught out as she posted wedding photo’s online!! It’s all there on the internet plus many more examples of how social media has helped councils and DWP secure prosecutions.

So, I ask again, what’s the problem? The Post article refers to people only intending on their friends and family seeing their posts on facebook. From my limited knowledge, only friends can see posts when their friend request has been received so I can only assume this information is in their public profile.

Also, I love the way the Post use that well know unbiased organisation, ‘big brother watch’ as their voice of morality. Very one sided reporting using inflammatory language. Fraudsters and scammers make peoples lives a misery so if they are stupid enough to trip themselves up online, then all the better. Maybe the article should have reported on the estimated savings made from unveiling fraudsters using social media..
