My bug bare is the road past Dunelm Mill. Why do people stop?? There are No stop signs just keep on going and filter in the way the road was designed to be drove on.

I ask my mum that very same question when she stops. The answer? Because none of the numpties will actually let you filter in, and this is mostly true. No one wants anyone else getting in front of them, just in case they get there first.

I don’t drive personally, but I have noticed a few spots where car drivers seem to do whatever the hell they please.

The worst one is the “new” road layout by Eagles Meadow. How difficult is it to go in the right hand lane if you want to go up Derby Hill? The left hand lane clearly states it is for turning left and Derby Hill is NOT turning left. In fact, it’s not even a junction off the roundabout.

Another bad spot for me is the crossing by the doctors on Holt Road. Do car drivers know what it means when those lights turn to red? They do know they are supposed to stop? or is there a new highway code that says red is really green in disguise?

The crossing on the other side of Asda is another bad one I find, for the exact same reasons. Morons who got their lisence from lisence.

Anywhere that has 2 lanes also seems to be a problem. Car drivers seem to have this weird notion that 2 lanes = national speed limit.

When I worked in my previous job and used to walk up Holt Road at 6:30am, I would notice numerous cars flying up and down Holt Road and speeds that were definitely higher than 30mph.

In conclusion, I don’t think it’s the roads that are the problem. It’s the morons who use them.

I dunno. I think there’s more than enough choice for people to eat and buy food. Its everything else I feel Wrexham is lacking. And the biggest thing?! It’s not shops. It’s character. We need summer festivals again like we used to have, like the lager days etc going on

The problem in the roads isn’t the road design, it isn’t the slip roads or the layby’s. The biggest problem is the morons who like to use them as racing tracks.

If people learned to slow down, there wouldn’t be so many accidents. They do it by the police station and on Mold Road too. They see 2 lanes and put their foot down.

I nearly got killed when I lived in Warrington because of a moron going to fast. My fiance has been knocked off his bike going to work by morons who can’t drive.

I think better education to drivers is the way to go. And harsher penalties to those who think 30mph down Holt Road is too slow.

The annoying thing about this is, unlike the Future Jobs Fund, it doesn’t appear to be open to anyone over 24. I got my job as a Future Jobs Fund that was supposed to be for 6 months in Jan 2011… I’m still there now.

Would be interested to know if this Jobs Growth Wales can be extended to over 24’s and can sweet talk my boss lol

I remember the town smelling of hops. Used to love that, and smelling Kellogs on the industrial estate, not to mention chocolate in Chirk.

I also remember the Lager Days on Plas Coch when it was fields. I remember being in my nans and seeing the helicopter giving rides.

I also remember I guess the end of the “beast market”. I remember going around the market, coming up the hill with people selling videos on the pavement and then I used to love going into the old “cant think of word but you know what I mean” and seeing the animals. Was only a little kid then though.
