JonesyParticipantI’m of the mind that “penthouse” is usually used as a posh term for top floor!! Though a terrace is a nice addition. I wasn’t considering that one mind!!
Interestingly the people trying to flog that have put a batman wood carving on the terrace – Location | The Batman Carving Wrexham anyone noticed it?
As an aside, I don’t think 325k would get a 5 bed in the best areas of the borough? ie:
http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-41573062.html shows the price of big detached in Marford/Rossett
JonesyParticipantthanks Rob – looks good and will be even better when tweaked for night and bright sun (looking at the night pic now – will that stop the slight blurring?)
How often do the cams update?
JonesyParticipantCheers Rob – will be good when all is back up! Nice view of St Giles etc

JonesyParticipantI think I have seen that the report states that County Councils should be aligned with Police and Health areas. Could be looking at a “super” whole of North Wales County – this was in fact proposed in the 1960s review that lead to Clwyd – “Gwynedd” would have been the whole of North Wales, but it was opposed as it was thought it would be to large – but if economies of scale are now needed? ……
JonesyParticipantI was looking at moving back to Wrexham fairly recently, on hold for the moment, but I think there are some good areas are the other side of town, or the villages between Wrexham and Chester.
Some nice places I looked at in Erddig area (Coed y Glyn, Hermitage Park, Howards field et al) good access to town and to the bypass if you need to get to Chester/further afield.
Rossett and Marford also nice on the old Chester Road.
Also looked at some of the new ish build flats around Wrexham, but they are more suitable for couples/singles than someone with family.

There has been a few calls for a new arts centre in town – and if rumours that the police may end up in the library building are true then where could that move to?
Would be better to be full circle back to the museum buildings for the police! :)
Waterworld building could make a good museum/theatre/library/arts complex.

How about the ones by Bellevue Park? I wonder if they are any good?
These ones?: 1 bedroom apartment for sale in St Giles Court, Wrexham, LL13
I think this particular one is overpriced – has been on market for ages…..

Just listening to employees who seem to know their stuff.
I doubt any local level employee, even the store manager, would know about any strategic decisions such as store moves/closures/lease negotiations.
JonesyParticipantDid the 1997 refurb of the baths to “waterworld” not repair the building issues? The pool etc was totally re-built so I wonder if that wasn’t done well?
The worry I think is that all the facilities close and then there is a funding or other delay which leaves the town with nothing. Not trying to be crtical but WCBC have a very poor record on getting developments done (not always totally there fault/in their control admittedly ). I know the report says to leave waterworld open while building something else, but with the budget the way it is….
Can I also say in my personal experience that when a council subs out the management of leisure facilities the prices rise and the standards fall – where I have been based down south the borough subbed out to these people: About DC Leisure – DC Leisure – all they care about is their profit margins – prices shot up, service levels went down. For example, an exercise class is almost £9 and Monthly membership is £55 – huge increases from the “council” prices, with less investment tbh.
Not good all round for me.
JonesyParticipantIs the good old parish church cam dead then? *sob*
