John, I never set out to have a confrontation with you, it was just that you were convinced I had cut you up and even your camera footage does not show that you were cut up. I am sorry to hear that you are having to go in to hospital soon. I have just lost my brother four weeks ago, so I hope you pull through whatever is wrong with you. I will say a prayer for you and hope you will survive your ordeal, best wishes, JOK.

Your footage shows that the car in front of you is a good distance ahead of both your car and my taxi, there are no other vehicles in sight, your statement is flawed. By virtue of my registration numbers I put myself into the public domain and as such become an easy target. If there was traffic congestion I could appreciate your statement, but one car in the left hand lane well ahead of you and my taxi, with my taxi indicating left and trying to merge from right hand lane to left hand lane does not constitute cutting you up.

John Hoppy, your camera shows my taxi “merging” on Regent Street from right hand lane to left hand lane and as it is ahead of your vehicle surely it is your duty to allow it to proceed into the lane you are using without referring to it as cutting you up.

Do not judge me and you will not be judged, do not condemn me and you will not be condemned and I don’t need to be forgiven thank you very much, not by you anyway, that is for my priest to do, if it was required, which it is not.

That’s better, but as yet there is no proof that it was me. I still have no recollection of the incident but I was being polite in offering an apology if it happened to be me. My mobile phone and diary suggest not.

Sheefag, at no time did I state, “TO ERR IS HUMAN”. Why have you misquoted me?

Checked my cameras, but unfortunately the footage has been recorded over for that day/time, due to loop recording being used. To try to clarify the situation I have checked my mobile phone calls as well as my diary for that day/time. 1135 left New Road, Wrexham, arrived Island Green at 1145, via Grosvenor Road, regular customer. Departed soon after and arrived at Gatewen Road via Watery Road at 1150. Left at 1155 after loading and securing wheelchair bound passenger, arrived at Wrexham Maelor Hospital via Croesnewydd Road at 1200, unloaded wheelchair bound passenger and arrived at King Street 1205 travelling via Bradley Road, Central Road and Regent Street. It could have been me that carried out that manoeuvre if johnhoppy’s camera was showing a different time to my mobile phone/satellite controlled taximeter and the taxi driver was definitely a male. If it was me I apologise but the times don’t add up.

Benjamin M, johnhoppy writes his/her, I have no recollection of the event. I video all of my journeys and if it was me I will let you know.

I agree with Zinger to a certain extent and it could work. The problem I foresee with a give way sign only at the Plas Coch end is that drivers approaching from that side would have to almost enter the underpass, which is at that point the narrowest, before they can see the approaching traffic. If traffic from either direction had to give way to traffic already under the bridge the problem would be solved as long as everyone observed this. I think we all know that making the underpass one way would be catastrophic.
