Sorry for not getting the record straight. I took the 350 homes from the heading of the thread.

This will be the third planning application in the pipeline at this moment in time.117 houses in Rhosrobin already in discussion,400 houses in Pandy and now outline permission for Llay for 350 homes. I think some builder is going to get their fingers burnt trying to sell 867 homes.

Cllr.Jenkins met with the Planning Officer earlier in the day and presumably his concerns would have been answered.Cllr.Jenkins is not on the Planning Committee,:confused: and yet was still not satisfied with the explanations, and turned up to the meeting to have his say.He was pushing for a site visit, and this he got.It confuses me when one man not on the committee, can persuade the others to follow him.

Apparently they want 10 flats, a restaurant and takeaway and only 6 parking spaces for the flats.

The plans were changed to no takeaway and I think six flats.

If we took the name of the private developer off the application and inserted the name of Wrexham Council as seeking planning application to build 350 Council Homes. The reason for the application being, the council wished to provide rented accommodation for the present children of Llay to have somewhere to dwell in the future, rather than move away from the area.Would the present objectors to the private application still judge the council application with the same objections?Just a thought.:)

The point I was making was that if Council employees were the majority of the long stay parkers in the Peoples Market and were paying for parking, which I believe they do.The reduction from £3 to £2 will not be of much help to the Wrexham Open for Business Campaign, but a great help to Council employees.Hence the remark ‘looking after their own flock.:)
