I really wanted Ty Pawb and defended the cost and could not wait for it to be here. I went along on opening day and have been back a couple of times since and am so disappointed with the place! It really is not up to scratch and it certainly is not what I envisaged.

It looks unfinished, there is no vibe and compared to other art hubs I visit it fails miserably.

Not hearsay are you stupid? The ” mate from school” is one of those on the streets who begs! !!!!

And you know damned well I said “If they are littering, begging, dealing ”

Tell you what, you go and offer one of them a room or sofa in your house!

Somehow don’t think you will lol

I’ve heard them telling each other how much money they can make and know one from school who has confirmed the amounts they can beg on a daily basis actually. So yep!, from the horses mouth!

I also know a few of them have been done for drug dealing and know for a fact they deal as I have seen them dealing to teens in the bus station.

You know exactly what I mean about them looking hungry so stop trying to be sarcastic because you failed miserably.

Not all are Wrexham born and bred, lots come in from other areas. And yes!, even if they are Wrexham residents, if they are littering, begging, dealing in drugs, throw them out of the town!!!

When I was younger I had this idealistic view of helping the homeless and felt so sorry for them. Now I am older, I see the thieving, the drug dealing, the litter, the abuse and the sheer cheek of some of them.

They sit outside Sainsburys ( why do they allow it? ) outside doorways in Island Green and are given loads of food, money and cups of Costa Coffee!
Then they go off with £50-£100 in their pockets, buy drugs to take and to deal!

People PLEASE stop giving them directly and please give to the charities that deal with them.

And one other thing, do any of them actually look like they are starving????? Look at the poor in India for example and compare them to our homeless!

Ideally, throw them out of the town and let decent people shop in peace!
I was hoping that the motivation behind it was that it’s seen as unethical to post photos of homeless people without their knowledge or permission,
Its actually not illegal to photograph anyone in public space with or without their consent.

I agree that Eagle’s meadow is clean compared to town but I have a real problem with all the smoking on the top level near the Odeon. The top of the steps through to ten pin bowling is awful. You can’t walk along there without having smoke blown in your face and the smoke stench is horrible.
I hate walking along there with children and as a non smoker find it very unpleasant. The shopping centre should be made non-smoking or they should have a separate smoking area.

I think “career politician” is a good description of Ian Lucas and it really saddens me to agree with it. I used to think he did mean well for Wrexham but lately am of the opinion we need someone else! I have voted Labour all my life but it shows how bad Ian is when I am actually thinking of voting Andrew Atkinson simply because he is more proactive in the town and has a more pleasant personality.

I have had contact with Ian on 2-3 occasions when I asked him to look into something for me. He came back with an answer completely unrelated to what I wanted him to ask!

Ian Lucas is censoring and deleting comments made to his facebook that challenge him on his future. You’d imagine now Corbyn is back in that Lucas would feel compelled to resign, seeing as he has no confidence in the leader.

Any posts to his facebook wall are being censored, only replies to comments on posts already made are getting through.

The man is basically censoring free speech and not allowing his constituents a voice!!

He has cost himself votes in the next election, and frankly good riddance!!!

    Thanks Phil,

My husband contacted you ( thanks for the reply on here and via email)

I realise it is an ongoing problem and appreciate how difficult it must be to deal with these people. What really gets me is the fact that lots of them are not even from Wrexham!

Maybe wasteland outside of town could be used as a camp for them and anyone using the town centre or residential areas is moved to there! I am sure Wrexham won’t appear as attractive to them then.
