Wishful thinking but will disabled people be able to purchase an annual parking pass at the same cost as the councillors parking pass?

Same last week, not just because of it being Remembrance Sunday. Just uncertain if they work Sundays or not, because actually if they don’t do we have to pay in the car parks? ;-)

I would not depend on B&q being there in the near future either! I know some people who have been made redundant from Wrexham B&Q in the last month or so.

“Cartrefle councillor Ronnie Prince also questioned whether there were measures in place to monitor how many left before receiving treatment each day.
He said: “You’ve given a broad account of A&E, but is any work in process to bring down waiting times as we get a lot of complaints about people going to A&E who leave because of the long wait?”

That is the part of the problem! If you are able to leave and go home, then probably in most cases, you should not have been there to begin with!
People use it for minor ailments and illnesses that GP’s should be dealing with. The system is being used incorrectly and I agree staffing is an issue but so is misuse of the department by patients!

    Fugazi,

Not everyone discriminates so don’t worry. Sorry you have panic attacks, I know from personal experience what they are like and how debilitating they can be.

I read someone got hit by a train today near Wrexham and I am hoping its not suicide/suicide attempt!
Mental illness ruins lives, ruins families lives, to discriminate in this day and age is very sad.

The biggest threat to A&E are timewasters who could easily treat themselves, and attention seekers who often have mental health issues..[/quote]

What an idiot to call someone with a mental health problem an attention seeker! We have this huge drive at the moment to bring mental health into public awareness due to the fact that 1 in 4 have a mental health problem in the UK.

It’s really saddening to see discrimination here and you should be ashamed of yourself. Your definition of ” attention seeking” is probably hell on earth for the mental health sufferer and patient.

It’s laughable isn’t it? Saw one guy outside Sainsbury’s today ( where he always sits)dressed in layers of clothing With sleeping bag wrapped around him. No way was he cold – I guessed he would not have got sympathy vote minus his down and out look!!!! Apparently he throws most of the food donated by customers ( he had suitcase to collect it in) but uses the money collected for drugs and alcohol.

Oh Wow! Congrats to the council! They have now created a nice place for the homeless, druggies and anyone else to sleep under at night and during bad weather!

The kids who congregate under the band stand in the evenings will love the extra undercover space thats been created for them!

    Yep!

    Well done

The smokers outside the main entrances are really bad. I have to avoid walking through them when going to the hospital and tend to use the smaller side entrances instead. Although, they have smokers outside too! It’s not just the patients and visitors either, at lunch and break times staff sit out smoking.

The staff also smoke outside the side ambulance entrances, seen nurses and Dr’s there puffing away.

It sets a really bad example to children when they see health workers smoking, it’s totally at odds with being healthy.

I agree there should be a designated area away from view for smoker’s to smoke in. There are various outside spaces which could be used.
