janeywxmParticipantChilldoubt how can a disabled person who is in a wheelchair in addition to other problems get a “bus or taxi” instead?
Disabled spaces are for blue badge holders only. There is no defence, no reason or explanation that can possible make it right for someone without a blue badge to park there!
And you suggest a stroll? Again, how can someone with a disability do that?

janeywxmParticipantThe non disabled nursing staff also need to be stopped from parking in the disabled spaces outside the main entrance, particularly in the evenings. It’s not very considerate considering they are working in the caring/nursing profession.

janeywxmParticipantMaybe they should go and get some food off the man who sits outside Sainsburys for hours on end with a suitcase full of donated food! At the end of his shift he dumps the majority of it behind the store according to the manager!

janeywxmParticipantNothing big or clever about striking out at a child. There are plenty of other ways to get
a message across than using any degree of violence.I wouldn’t hit my dog, I wouldn’t hit a child.
Anyone who needs to resort to smacking their own child needs to think hard about why they became a parent into the first place!

janeywxmParticipantNot sure why the station would even be considered as a listed building.
Although I always thought it would have made a great apartment block if someone had the time and energy to do it up.

janeywxmParticipantI wonder why then if only 1 in 10 returning jihadis have been prosecuted that the government has decided to make an example of this girl?
Is it because of media involvement?
Just playing devil’s advocate here : If her only crime is to have married a jihadi then surely every bride of a terrorist should be stripped of citizenship and booted out of the country.

janeywxmParticipantI’ts tricky because she was 15 when she left and perhaps was vulnerable to being influenced and radicalised.
But on the other hand, she said she ” was not phased” when she saw decapitated heads in a bin. And she does seem to justify atrocities carried out by Isis.I think if her husband had not been arrested she would not have considered returning to the UK at all.
It’s a good opportunity for the government to send a message to any other people considering going overseas to involve themselves with Isis that it could backfire and they might not be allowed back in to the country.
However, I just don’t know if it’s truly legal to remove her citizenship in this way. I think some lawyer will take on her case and it could be long and drawn out.

I’m not sure to be honest. I am just surprised he would come back here. I wasn’t aware he was still on the scene!
I am surprised he would take a lesser role if you like as well.
Time will tell if it’s a good move for the club or not.

janeywxmParticipantNow that you mention it, I’ve seen some dodgy characters hanging around lately. But mine are still here lol.
Maybe the council used them for something else or just let the contractors dispose of them.
I know they used the remains of Hightown flat’s demolition for some use on new roads at the time.
Either way, the red brick they had down before was so much nicer.
Janey
janeywxmParticipantThe older slabs were much nicer. The new ones look so cheap and are similar to ones I have under my shed to form a base!
I don’t understand how anyone could have thought they would be an improvement! Look at the older one’s in comparison and they win hands down!
