janeywxmParticipantIt’s not just the kids who are addicted to the junk food the likes of Mcdonalds, KFC and others sell.
One thing this pandemic must have alerted people to is the fact that obesity is one of the underlying conditions that is placing people in intensive care units if they catch coronavirus.
You are more likey to develop serious breathing problems and dying if your bmi is high.
Now really is the time for us all to eat healthier and exercise more.

janeywxmParticipantWe just need to sit tight and wait for this thing to either pass or become manageable!
Spain had it right: A total lockdown where there were no blurred lines! Spain is now getting back on their feet slowly but surely.
What did UK do? We allowed people out jogging and cycling!
This dragged on because the lockdown was not strict enough. I see the new cases daily in Wrexham and wonder if everyone is observing the rules then where they are catching it from? I am assuming most new cases must be carers or medical staff? Or are the supermarkets riddled with virus?

janeywxmParticipant“…hoover bag
what’s one of them lol
Lilly”
I know lol, I’ve used a cordless and bagless dyson for years but apparently hoover bag material works as an excellent filter! You just have to make sure there is no fibreglass in the bag.

janeywxmParticipantThe best material for a home-made mask is 100% cotton tea towel. Combine that with a filter pocket, make a filter out of a hoover bag to place in filter pocket ( non fibreglass) and it will filter even smaller particles.
Plenty of instructions online on how to make a mask with filter pocket.
You would have to socially distance still, keep washing hands and also throw filter away when home. But you can wash the mask at high temperature and use again with fresh filter in place.
Also make sure you wash hands prior to putting mask on and after taking it off.

janeywxmParticipantWeird that you think all people on benefits use the money for “fags, booze or drugs”
Not everyone will abuse the system and some genuinely need the free school meals.
I see lots of single mothers ( and Fathers) who do without food on a regular basis just so their children can have a meal on the table.
Don’t judge, nobody knows what is around the corner for us all!

janeywxmParticipantI always do my husband’s hair with clippers.
I asked him to watch some youtube videos on how to hold the scissors correctly, how to cut and how to chip in for a messy textured cut. I have short hair anyway so let him have a go!
It actually turned out almost as good as the hairdressers and he is cutting it again in a week or two!
I think he missed his calling lol

janeywxmParticipantNot everyone’s cup of tea but can watch live fifa 20 matches on mixer! Maybe even take part yourself if you have a gaming console!

janeywxmParticipantInteresting she wants to cut beer tax for breweries and pubs! Does she or members of her family still have a personal interest in the brewing industry? I know Sandstone brewery is stated as being dissolved but any other links to a Brewery? Actually, strike that, apparently it still exists,

janeywxmParticipantI am aware of the chaos they brought but I am just frustrated that some parts of Wrexham have faster speeds. Just a waiting game I suppose :-)
I wonder why Bryn offa before any area full of students and Drs?
Janey
janeywxmParticipantYou can join the army at 16, work full time and even get married with parental consent! That being the case, I think 16 year olds should be able to vote!
