IMHOParticipantYes, they have been out around here tamping tarmac into the craters which, i have no doubt will be out again in weeks creating more gravel on the road. a temporary fix is just that, temporary.
IMHOParticipantAffordable homes are all well and good but when included (grudgingly) in these developments they often tend to be immediately hived off to housing associations and that precludes anyone actually owning one outright. Not everyone wants to be a tenant.
IMHOParticipantApart from the LDP provisions itself, what point a “vote” if there is, in effect, no choice but to “vote” in favour? Reminiscent of the Chinese style of government, yes, you CAN vote against the measure BUT, you will pay heavily if you do! Another thing to note is that, by going to court the developers have shown to us, the Council Tax paying residents that all they are interested in is profit because, as they knew it would, it has cost us dearly at a time when money (isn’t it always?)is tight
IMHOParticipantWas talking with a guy yesterday, he told me that very recently at Wrexham Maelor his mother in law spent a night in an ambulance then a further number of hours on a bed in a corridor, all in all about 20 hours to be properly dealt with. Health is not a priority with this disgraceful administration we suffer under in Cardiff, they are more interested in pet projects such as 20mph speed limits, “net zero” whatever that is, taxing tourism, forcing along the take up of the Welsh language and, oh yes, puffing it’s chest out and demanding the Israelis “cease fire” as if they are going to listen to a few pound shop politicians! As for Ken Skates, unless it’s for a nice easy photo op somewhere. something he can put on his social media to make him look as if he’s doing something he’s not interested, runs away. A few weeks ago he was supposed to be holding a “surgery” in our village but must have got wind of what we wanted to speak to him about (blanket 20mph.speed limits) but using Twitter cried off, no sign of him yet.

IMHOParticipantThat makes for interesting reading. Once more we are shown how the government ruled, at best in a Cavalier, at worst criminal fashion. Many of the members of the government seemed to allow the power they found themselves now able to wield go to their heads with Matt Hancock being amongst the worse so affected the hateful little man he is!
IMHOParticipantApart from the extra costs highlighted by wrexview what about the building? It was never designed for that number of people so it will need changing and those changes will not be cheap. What a crock of **** they are. They just want to be bigger and more grand so they can puff their chests out a bit further.
IMHOParticipantIn his thirst to be the first UK country to implement unpopular measures, Drakeford The Welsh Dictator, in order to minimise risk save lives and move towards “net zero”, whatever that is, decides to impose a one leisure flight per year restriction on Welsh residents. As you say you would welcome any measures to reduce the risk of crashing to the ground or being involved in a hijack, would you welcome this?
IMHOParticipantThe petition this morning is over 253,000 that, put another way is over a quarter of a million! Commissar Drakeford though is not for turning it seems and is still spouting his dubious reasons in support he has always spouted on the matter. The petition is a chance for we, the people, if minded of course and all aren’t, to let those tin pot dictators in Cardiff know what we think about the 20mph issue. All dissent has been routinely ignored with the initial consultation which came out against the imposition being side lined as “irrelevant” as, in the words of the minister concerned “it was obvious that the respondents were biased”! What did they then do? They went in search of supportive views only and, that’s how they treat us, their employers! It’s oft repeated that it was in their manifestos, yes there was mention of it but, almost anyone seeing that and most wouldn’t as they don’t read manifestos due to the fact that most will vote Labour come what may because their Dad did and his Dad before him and so on would never have thought it would be a blanket imposition instead of just around particularly sensitive areas so, i’m saying they don’t have a mandate for such a far reaching change in how people conduct their lives and personal travel. How the ruling junta in Cardiff, a very small number of men and women can think they know better than 100,000’s of ordinary folk out in the country i am at a loss to explain other than to see them as the communists they are and they are doing what communist administrations do ie. rule by diktat not consent. To use a modern phrase, they need their chain stepping on and the public have got a foot on it. If Commissar Drakeford does indeed ignore the petition then he will really open himself up to being labelled the Welsh Dictator.

Heading rapidly towards 150000 signatures, biggest ever Senedd petition. Be interesting to see how commissar Drakeford swerves this one.
IMHOParticipantOh. yes, that child that keeps running into the road, must admit that in my almost 60 years of driving cars motorcycles and petrol tankers i have never seen such a child never mind hit one but, they are, according to gubbment ministers, all over the place just ready to jump off the pavement into the road the little tykes.
