I am doubtful that not voting would send a message as many people don’t vote anyway.
Would it be better to show your presence at the ballot box by spoiling your paper by writing none of the above?
If you do not want to vote for any party, the above is the best option.
I will vote for the party i think will send the clearest message to our pathetic MP’s as to what we, the voting public think of them. It’s an absolute slap in the face of the British public that we are being reduced to this ie. voting to send representitives to an assembly we should no longer be a party to.March 30, 2019 at 12:24 pm in reply to: Homeless people take part in a "raffle" to get a bed for the night #166026
And, there are, across the county, hundreds of really good premises that spend, by far, most of the time empty but heated and comfortable where the homeless could be welcomed to bring their cardboard “beds” and bed down for the night but aren’t. What are these premises? churches and chapels of all flavours of course.
I have a few small tweaks to make to that statement to reflect the very reality of nature:
The benefit scroungers of Wrexham, (like most scroungers) live mainly on handouts and charity so while they are concentrating on themselves other people are working to feed them meaning they are, basically, beggars. They are of little use in this world other than to themselves and perhaps, at times, to others as entertainment (see Channel 5 poverty porn, Jeremy Kyle). Only my opinion of course.
My point exactly, why invite more ;)
In actuality though, most people on benefits are not scroungers they are people in real need of support, in contrast, i would say that most (tibetan) monks are, pretty much, scroungers and in fact they make a virtue of it as the givers get to make “good Karma” for themselves by the act of giving. So, you could say those not on benefits are garnering “good Karma” by paying tax, some of which goes to those people on benefits. Win win eh? :)
I know people have opinions about new ideas , but that does not mean they have the right to be disrespectful to other cultures, they obviously don’t know anything about !!! PS What has beggars on the streets got to do with Chinese ??? Show a bit more respect people !
The Shaolin Monks, (like most Monks) live mainly on handouts and charity so while they are concentrating on themselves other people are working to feed them meaning they are, basically, beggars. They are of little use in this world other than to themselves and perhaps, at times, to others as entertainment. Only my opinion of course.
In the recent inquest, the Coroner “Mr Gittins said he was uneasy that an annual “push/pull” test – which sees force exerted on the posts by inspectors – could lead to inconsistencies in information.
The coroner also expressed concern that signage alone did not provide adequate warning of risk. A gap in the railings of 195 millimetres was larger than current British standards of 110m.
This was a particular issue if people deliberately intended to cross to the outer edge of the aqueduct like Mr McDowell, the coroner said.”
Perhaps it is time to close the walkway across the aqueduct to individual walkers and only allow people to cross as part of escorted groups after an appropriate risk assessment of each person? Perhaps that is the best way we could mark the 10th anniversary of this engineering masterpiece, designed by brilliant minds and an incredibly brave and surefooted workforce.
Your tongue was firmly in your cheek when you typed that, wasn’t it? Yes, of course it was :)
Don’t we already have enough beggars on the streets of Wrexham?
I saw someone messing with it yesterday so it’s probably been put right now.
You just can’t get the staff these days.
Anyone complaining about pot holes should also shout long and hard about their inverse relatives, speed bumps.
These damn things are a blight to any road user and do stuff all for safety as most people will concentrate on the hump rather that looking for a pedestrian staggering into the road in front of them. Try riding a motorcycle in the rain in a strange place with visor down reducing your vision then happening across a large speed bump on a main road (or side road come to that) when not expecting it (not all humps are signed) and nearly losing control because you have been launched out of the saddle! Work of the devil those things.
Anyone who hates holes but loves speed bumps should satisfy themselves by thinking of holes as “traffic calming” in the same way they think of speed bumps:)
From what i have been told, it looks as though inmates at HMP Berwyn are responsible for quite a lot of AE resources being taken up. Injuries caused by fighting and stabbing i believe. I have it reliably that there are ambulances tooing and froing every day. Not going to help.January 21, 2019 at 11:38 am in reply to: Purrfect start for animal charity’s new £2.1m facility on old fire station site #162180
“Seems an obvious location for a Cat sanctuary right next to a Catholic Cathedral.”
Certainly, you wouldn’t want it to be a childrens home, would you now?
