If the one way system is costing local business more in both time and money, those who decided on the idea should be sacked for gross negligence.
Local gov = not a chance!

I like the way they have carefully placed the 40mph signs going into town so they are nicely obstructed by trees.
I just can’t believe how a group of people in the council can sit down and plan something so badly, then sit back and watch the work being carried out. It’s a disgrace when you consider the money some of them must be raking in.
look at Wrexham town centre! I wonder if they drive round(sorry sit in traffic) thinking ‘isnt this wonderful, i caused all this chaos’

Town was dead at 8:30 this morning maybe people should think about getting going 10 mins earlier to beat the rush and save their stress levels.
wont work everyone will do this and its the same
harryParticipantTotal crap getting in to town again this morning.

If you are on a pension, why not use your bus pass and get the bus and save the time, effort and annoyance of trying to drive into town?
we dont know the posters circumstances, maybe they are disabled/ have to go to places not covered by the bus service, even doing the weekly shop is difficult on the bus. But I do agree that people should use public transport where they can, but there are so many different factors to consider, most people have a reason why they need to use a car daily.

the road is now open- town was dead this morning at 8:20am so no issues to report. I now have to drive home along the bypass- no great hardship and removes some traffic from the town centre.
should of seen the mold road at 8.45 this morning was chocker all the way down past grosvenor rd, took me till 9.10 to get to work. yes leaving town is ok, but getting in is a problem as all the traffic that went under the bridge now use mold road

When I mean mothballed, I also mean the new council offices next to the guild hall (or the guild hall itself – council meetings could be in the memorial hall) plus the people’s market except for the car park, moving the businesses either into the bus station or one of the other markets. I agree there is too much commercial space in wrexham, that is the councillors & their planners fault for giving permission and creating a shopping space bubble. A good example of wastage was considering all the buildings the council had empty, they still hired out the old kwik save for the library.
I can think of three car parks in town that has space reserved for council staff or councillors… memorial hall/swimming baths, the guild hall/new council offices and peoples’ market car parks. So somebody whether council workers or councillors is getting space.[/QUOT
don’t forget the large car parks in Grosvenor road behind the buildings where social services used to be, council staff have a pass for the barrier located by high speed tyres. And if anyone else tries to park there you succumb to abuse from the staff who park there. I for one had ‘ dick head’ scrawled across my boot in the dirt.
harryParticipantI was off work today, needed to do my weekly shop, living just outside Wrexham i decided it wasn’t even worth trying to go in to town just to be sat in traffic for ages. So I went to Oswestry instead. Asda just lost £70 off me thanks to WCBC, probably would of spent a little in others shops too. sure other people will soon see its not worth wasting fuel and time sitting in endless ques caused by the ill thought out planning of the highways dept at WCBC.
harryParticipantwas stuck on the A483 J5 slip road (with the que spreading on to the bypass itself) this morning, could see it was the same at J4 too, took me 25 mins to get to grosvenor rd. cant put up with this every morning., left earlier but didnt seem to make much difference
