ElysiumxvParticipantWrexham die hard fans probably total 3k. If we manage to get to Wembley again this year 15k will travel to support the Reds at Wembley It’s just the same for all clubs in Wrexhams position. People will always turn up for any big event, normal behaviour for any club.
Success week in week out would probably increase gate at 4k to 6k depending on match.
What colour kit we wear really is just a minor point as long as it’s red.
Let’s hope we become successful again and get back into the league.
Well time to put my Dennis the menace top on and go and cheer on the Reds.
I go to all home matches and about 4 or 5 away, not a die hard fan , but just enjoy supporting our local team.die hard or just bonkers….you decide lol
ElysiumxvParticipantI thought the council would be better paying for children entertainers to perform on Llywn Isaf for local children and families over the summer period. The idea of a beach sounds ridiculous in my eyes. We do not have a climate to have inland beaches never mind coastal beaches..
As for the council…they are a total joke… Screwed the fans of Wrexham football club over and should hang their head in shame. Same could be said about local business men who ultimately let the club fall into bad hands while they made a healthy profit..but I suppose that’s business.

I’ve had mine installed a little under a month. I’m supposed to get around 34 but have had speeds upto 40. I’ve had no disconnections though. I’m with EE.

I live in Wrexham south and until recently used a dongle which sometimes gave me 3mgs. I rang B.T. and they promised me at least 4mgs as they said they had upgraded their equipment, after numerous phone calls and two engineers visiting I now have half a megabyte ( when it decides to work at all ) and a £100 bill for the engineers visit!. I spend most of my time on the computer watching it buffering. to have 4mgs would be bliss. if B.T. had told the truth I wouldn’t be in this ridiculous situation.
Ouch that hurts regards BT charge and the slow Internet connection.
ElysiumxvParticipantI have reported the problem to Talk Talk who have looked remotely at my connection and can not spot any errors as yet. I have just reported again a disconnection last night. So will wait to see what they say in reply. I am very pleased with the 50meg download speed, just need to make it stable now and then happy days !
ElysiumxvParticipantTalk Talk fibre broadband installed 1st Feb
I Live on holt road near the Phs plumbing centre. BT engineer advised my connection is to one of two BT exchanges on the Cefn road. Luckily I was connected to the nearest cabinet and so less distance and got the best connection I could have got.BT engineer fitted a new master socket nte5 and also a open reach echo lite hg612 fibre router and the talk talk Huawei hg533 wifi router.
Getting a 50mb download and 10mb upload connection after a previous 5mb connection ….WOW. However my connection is a little unstable at the moment and intermittently disconnects. I have report this to talk talk and see what they advise over the next few weeks.
If anyone in my area is also having problems regards disconnections please let me know. I realise this is a recently upgraded exchange so may be early adoption errors.
ElysiumxvParticipantTalk Talk is accepting super fast broadband orders for the holt road side of Wrexham. However they estimate a connection speed of just 26mb ? . I am currently on 7mb on standard talk talk broadband. Suppose I am getting greedy when they offer up to 76mb. Although I understand it depends on distance from the exchange you are connected too and also household factors
They are installing on 1st February so will keep everyone posted on the actual speed when installed. I know normal broadband used to take 10 days to settle to optimum speed , not sure if fibre broadband needs a settling period also ?
Can’t wait !!
ElysiumxvParticipantReceived a email from talk talk on Christmas Day advising that super fast fibre broadband was now available in my area ( holt road, near greyhound pub / hand pub ).
I had registered my interest back in October and they advised they would let me know when available
Phoned talk talk on the 26th December only to be told ” No” it’s not quite ready Doh
All talk talk advised was it is imminent
Had Anyone in my area been enabled ?
Cheers
ElysiumxvParticipantAnyone connected to Superfast broadband near the Holt road area of the town yet ( near ( Greyhound pub )?. I believe December is the target date but just asking if anyone switched on yet ?
Not getting any response from my ISP regards switch on date for SfB in my location
ElysiumxvParticipantWe live on the holt road near PHS plumbing centre and get 7mb and stable via talktalk . Talktalk are asking to register your email address to make them aware you are interested in upgrading st SfB service in December.
I am sure they will have a postal blitz also.
They are quoting speeds of 26Mb on their fibre large package for talktalk plus subscribers with an additional £15.00 per month charge for this service.
A little disappointed that we are not reaching 48mb speeds seeing only a stone throw from the main Wrexham exchange. can only think its the old copper cable in Wrexham that is the the issue…roll on FTTH.
Anyone else know if Wrexham town will get 48mb
