Daave63ParticipantBlooming eck, I feel asleep at end of November and woke up in the 1990’s, missed chritmas and nobody told me it was snowing!
What people should look at is that FCC are seriously in debt, and havn’t even made a start on cuts, job losses etc. At least in Wrexham we have been cutting our cloth accordingly, WCBC may be ‘crap’ but at least we are heading the right way. Jumping back into bed with Flintshire is not the answer [not for us anyway]
Daave63ParticipantAs an ex bus driver, I have been observing from a safe distance the ‘chaos’ surrounding school transport, and whilst I agree it does seem to have been a bit crazy but as always, bash the council is the order of the day.
Now whilst council’s have a statutory commitment to provide transport for ‘qualifying pupils’, I wish parents would accept responsibility for their side of their childcare bargin. It is ‘parents responsibility to present / and meet their child at the bus stop, in a timley and correct manner’. If they had taken responsibility for their own childrens saftey, instead of just abandening them on the street then they wouldn’t have been ‘LEFT STRANDED BY THE COUNCIL!!’ If they had also taken notice of info given out by primary schools, checked before hand or even looked on the council’s website [where all this info is available] instead of sitting on their hands all summer and in a lot of cases not even knowing what day their schools went back, it would have caused a lot less hassel – namely for them and their little angels. As for the idiots in the transport offices, the 2 or 3 useless staff their probably have one phone each, presumably one pair of hands and thousands of irate parents trying to ring them. You do the maths!!
Daave63ParticipantI could be wrong for once, but wasnt in renamed after the riots??
Daave63ParticipantJust like a tree – cut the base – load the top – it falls over & dies! But as always blame the base!
Daave63ParticipantMy god Jojo, whats is up with you, take your own son, your own son to school, 3 buses that you must pay for, what is your problem, I thought it was the councils job to get your son to school!! And those buses blocking up the 4×4 school transport routes! Expecting people to walk & be on time, you have really gone down in my estimation boy!

What’s sad about that? I didn’t have youth clubs around when I was young yet somehow never managed to steal a bike, car or anything come to think of it.
I am sure though this lad has relatives now telling everyone how it wasn’t his fault and how he was an angel and never did anyone any harm. Total cost of dealing with this accident should come from his+his parents pockets(quickly too not at £1.50 a month for the next thousand years). Parents then might start taking responsibility for their kids.Absobluminrightmate! Bet his a naughty little sh…, sorry has ADHD!! My Arsen!!

Love It :):) but unfortunately very true, the one other thing not mentioned is the people who live by these schools who struggle to get out of their own drives at these times :rolleyes:
Dont be so stupid M, who are these so called ‘people’ who think they can just come and go out of their own drives as they please! This is a country you know!
Daave63ParticipantHey well done Dylan, you nearly sounded positive there!
It is good to see an inititive to attract visitors to the town, a few points thou,
1, The High Street is possibly a good location givin the towns lay out these days, but if a foreign coach comes in, the door is on the wrong side and the un-suspecting tourist will meet their end in a colision with an illiterate toy-boy racer or a cluless free parker!
2, WCBC have been trying for this for years to attract coaches from Chester, and when they do, the advert flyer list as a nearby attraction – Chester city centre!!
3, Most importantly – ‘Where is the toilets please??’
Daave63ParticipantCome on Dylan, some lowlife dipstick steals something expensive that someone has paid a lot of money for, rides it like an idiot into some innocent person’s car and, wreck it, wreck them, wreck the bike and you seriously blame the Council policy. If I was alowed to swear on here I would, you ducking prcik!
Daave63ParticipantFrom what I heard, the bike was stolen, so I don’t think licensing laws come into it.
