[quote quote=115292]I parked in st giles today and they were there! I dont think they are homeless at all, there was a lad in an adidas tracksuit and riding a bike circling around people as they are getting out of their cars. A woman in her forties who looked ‘tidy’ i mean her hair and make up was done to a degree she was wearing a jacket that is still on sale in primark. None of them looked scruffy or like they are lacking a decent meal. I dont understand why you would do this, its pathetic, grown adults doing this and they are the first thing shoppers see when they arrive to park, my thoughts were what a shithole!!

There are CCTV cameras all over town so why aren’t the police taking action? They must record a lot of incidents like this.
I expect they don’t have the manpower or there is too much paperwork involved in dealing with these troublemakers.

They can all return home now that plans to outlaw rough sleeping and ban busking without a licence in Chester have been abandoned by councillors.
The police are failing to move them from café chairs in Lord Street and off the bandstand and as for the camp they have set up off Benjamin Road….

They are a problem but its a problem that needs a resolution as moving them on just makes them someone else’s problem!

[quote quote=114556]Many of the drains around the town are blocked by plants growing out of them , hence the water running over the drains rather than draining away.

At least its not litter clogging up our drains anymore and with the ‘Bin it to Win it’ initiative, its win – win!

    Perhaps notify the police?

[quote quote=112841]I’m certainly for fixed penalties and cannot agree that any illegal activity is acceptable, including parking where’s not allowed or even ‘minor’ speeding. The roads will be safer for children, walkers and cyclists and cleaner too if FWarp stays away.

Totally agree with you. If it deters wrong doers, then we should all support the Council with this innovation!

If you do the crime, pay the Crime!

PS Don’t forget that the polling stations close at 10pm tonight!

I see that the People’s Market public toilet/ shooting up and getting drunk stairwells have hit the headlines today. Remember … Cllr Neil Rogers assured people “The stairwells at the People’s Market are swept and cleaned regularly, and any instances of anti-social behaviour on the site will be referred to North Wales Police. We aim to improve the service and have rescheduled our cleaning regime to ensure this is a priority.”

Perhaps it needs a “WREXHAM COUNTY BOROUGH COUNCIL PUBLIC SPACES PROTECTION ORDER”
The effect of the Order is to impose the following prohibitions on the use of the designated restricted area:

    1. INTOXICATING SUBSTANCES
That Person(s) within the designated restricted area are prohibited from eating, drinking, inhaling, injecting, smoking or otherwise using any intoxicating substances and from the preparation of any such activities. Intoxicating substances are defined as substances with the capacity to stimulate or depress the central nervous system.

    2. PROHIBITION ON ALCOHOL CONSUMPTION
No person shall consume alcohol or have an open container of alcohol in their possession in the designated restricted area.

    3. URINATING AND DEFECATING
No person shall urinate or defecate within the designated restricted area

    etc.

Will they be doing this when it is the Arts Hub? Then again, one man’s human waste and drug paraphernalia is another man’s work of art …

Transportuser, I do have sympathy for your cause and I hardly use public transport as the services provided are so poor and it is not exactly cheap. I walk.

I do think that the Council generally run a good website and that transport providers should be contacting the Communication Department with updates rather than vice versa.

My internet remark was tongue in cheap but it is a sad state of affairs when we cannot phone a human to make an enquiry and get a proper response. Many of us grew up in the days before computers and we don’t know how to search for information or even use a mobile phone.

I take your point about people from Mold and a night out in Wrexham but the buses back from/to Chester/ Wrexham finish too early and deter the youngsters from going to discos.

Any feedback you receive from the Council would be received with interest.

PS. GoM1 I would love to see your list of issues addressed and everyone had a chance to make their opinions known in the ‘Difficult Decisions’ Consultation – ‘You Said, We Did’ last year. The Council HAS to make massive savings which mean that the town is going to go to the dogs. Thank the Tories next time you hit a pothole!

Did you read the disclaimer at the top of the Bus Timetable page?

Disclaimer: The services and times listed on this website are subject to change at short notice. Wrexham County Borough Council will not be held responsible for any loss, damage or inconvenience as a result of any inaccuracy.

I don’t know how people used to find out this sort of information before the Internet was invented.

Wrexham County Borough Council works to ensure that local people receive good quality services that provide value for money within a reducing budget.

Too many people expect the Council to hold their hands and wipe their bottoms (within a reducing budge) rather than getting on with it and looking for something themselves!

Sorry for the rant Transportuser but its not a Council priority!
