I hope that WCBC turn a blind eye to short term parking in the Market Street car park. Look at the double yellow lines outside their present shop.

The parking outside Everland can be quite dangerous, especially when people park on the bend with people coming out of the bingo but parking for Jones’ chippy and KFC seems to work ok so hopefully this won’t be a problem.

Who gave permission for the Private shop in view of St. Giles or the Adult shop around the corner with a plaque commemorating ‘Balaclava Ned’ the last survivor of the infamous Charge of the Light Brigade?
Wrexham Council again showing the degree of their “commitment” to transparency; listening to the people who pay their Council Tax to fund everything; respect for the opinions of others who might differ from theirs and being in touch with the views of local people. Pompous, blinkered and ignorant.

Local Councillors are elected by the community to decide how the council should carry out its various activities. They represent public interest as well as individuals living within the ward in which he or she has been elected to serve a term of office.

They have regular contact with the general public through council meetings, telephone calls or surgeries. Surgeries provide an opportunity for any ward resident to go and talk to their councillor face to face and these take place on a regular basis.

If you don’t agree, vote them out!! They are acting in YOUR best interests in all matters and you should be giving them your support, not turning on them if you don’t like something.

What do you want to do, have a BREXIT style vote whenever something emotionally charged (like the Groves) rears its head? You voted them in and therefore you should trust in them and support their decisions.

I hope that PhilWynn and Co. come up with a suitable solution to this on-going problem. I don’t know if it has shifted from someone else’s back door to ours but only action will tackle it, talk is cheap.

Then there are the gangs of Eastern Europeans that hang around drinking and smoking pot …. but that is a different thread.

Well said Welshman1000, people are quick to criticize and slow to commend.

People like Joan the Hog have the mindset that it is everyone’s human right to litter and that such acts should go unpunished and this is why the town looks a mess. Increase the fines and make them pick up their own mess I say.

In a perfect world bin men would not leave a mess but factor in wind etc then what else do they expect?

To finish, on occasion I too have reported a missed bin or a lost recycling box and the Council have never failed to deliver! we certainly get value for money from this service!

    Dear Ms Hogg,

I think that Mr Glyndwr has a point as throughout your rant you imply that people should be allowed to throw rubbish and dogs to excrete where they want to and no punishment should be given. The point of fines is to deter such selfish acts and not to make money.

Would you expect to commit any other crime (say murder) and go unpunished? How about speeding? Do you ever break the law and would you protest at a fine? I am sorry that you do not wish to be part of normal life and take it upon yourself to be some sort of vigilante. You appear to be more of a Joker than a Caped Crusader.

    With Respect,

    Councilor X

The point is that they may have issued £42,000 of fines but they should be saying how much they collected!

You will never see the headline “Wrexham smokers pay £42 worth of fines in a month”

it would be interesting to see how much was collected as a percentage of fines issued to gauge the efficiency of the system.

wrexham.com at the bottom of the screen has it’s address as Lampit St. Wrexham – council monitored/hosted/run if incorrect will stand corrected but until proven otherwise it will stand as truth for me. CON-CIL TAX the amount of evidence I could post! No doubt there are council spooks/spies reading this, so watch this space!

Joan, should’ve gone to Spec Savers … it Says :

    Wrexham.com
    Regent Street
    Wrexham
    LL11 1PF
    Tel: 01978 288 288

As for the monitoring … of course it is monitored and the Council now have your IP address so know who you are and where you live!
The story says it was in Wrexham for 22 years but correct me if my memory fails me but I think it was more than 40 years.
I thought that too but then read “We had the business for 22 years, it has been in Wrexham for about 25 years or more before we bought it.”

So much for being a pie and chips town ………. a real pity!
