If we charged our foreign visitors to use the NHS then i am sure that the figures would improve.

You cannot blame them for coming over and bringing their aging relatives to receive free health care but it has a strain on an already suffering service.

My neighbours bring both sets of parents over every winter and although they are very pleasant and we share a few beers, they expect the NHS to look after them because they are frail and sickly.

Bryn, do you put the recycling boxes and bag out or do you just throw everything in the black bin?

Mrs X once missed a collection and even though we now have an empty next, we struggled to get through to the next fortnight. If it were not for Fat Sammy from the chippy coming around and stomping down our rubbish i do not know what we would have done.

What we all need is a resident Fat Sammy to help with the bin problems!

Picking up on Councillor Bithell here:
“I went past a bin the other day and there was a mattress and a fence panel by it. A fence panel! Someone could not be bothered to take it to a skip site. We have three top of the range skip sites that take everything, you name it, they take it.”

Then comments on the Twitter feed including:
    – But since Wrexham council got rid of the smaller tip sites I have noticed a huge increase in this sort of thing as well as fly tipping
    – Problem will only get worse if bin collections change to every three weeks
    – Bin was removed ages ago and people still put rubbish there
    – You can’t not expect people to start putting household waste bags near public bins

I put it to you that YES people are lazy but not everyone can drive/ has a car/ van and when you remove local skip sites such as the one previously off Queensway, and reduce bin collections what are people expected to do?

I look forward to seeing what effect Conwy’s four weekly rubbish collection has on fly tipping and if the ‘saving’ is swallowed up by clear up costs.

The Henblas Street development sounds very positive.

Matt, I hear your concerns about the sinking land in Llay but it hasn’t done Venice any harm has it?

My friends at the Council Planning Office have supplied pictures of the Llay development.

(Sorry to hijack this thread but i needed to give Matt some reassurance)

Are you serious with the heading “The last thing town needs!”?

The last thing the town needs is more druggies, homeless and unemployed to name but three.

This development offers jobs and gives the consumer the choice of another supermarket to visit.

We don’t all live in a “Bubble” where the furthest they go on foot is to Tesco. If Bubble moved away from his bubble for a short while, he/ she would find that the Lidl experience would offer him/ her massive savings (we have seen the TV adverts) Perhaps get a taxi there because the savings should pay for it.

Why not do all your shopping on-line and get your groceries delivered and then the fate of the town would not be of your concern and you can reside in your bubble in peace.

Sorry, this is not an anti-bubble rant. I just hate people writing off Wrexham instead of embracing change where change is for the good.

Matt, eye to eye we may not often see but that was excellent.

You can’t polish a turd, but you can roll it in glitter (I refer to town and not your good self)

There must be valid reasons for absences. Why have such an important vote at a time when so many people are on holiday? Why not put the vote off for a month?

The Councillor abstaining will also have had a valid reason for doing so, so I do not see why there is so much commotion about it.

Is your forum post not a fallacy in itself because it is a failure in reasoning which renders your argument invalid?

You start your rant by saying:
“The muppets in the Welsh Assembly give the instruction to build more houses and the Sheep of Wrexham Council and their planners follow their instructions even though they know it is detrimental for the village and Borough.”

    And end with:
    “Vote the Councillors Out”

If the WA give an instruction that WCBC must follow, do you want to change this to Vote the WA out”?
