I am all for a twinning with China!

China are planning to land on the far side of the moon and they could take some of their Wrexham ‘Twins’ with them.

I have already submitted a list for consideration (Sorry Matt, you never made the cut!)
Technically a job seeker is an unemployed person who is trying to get a job, some of your Wetherspooners are just unemployed
“My” ‘actual’ Wetherspooners (friends) are mostly bored retired old farts but we do have some who work shifts. All have worked for their pensions. I should not have used ‘my’ in the previous post as it implies they ay all my friends. Some are workshy spongers who are so lazy they use their phones to order beer [they do it on an APP?] but how they afford phones I do not know. The shoplifters must be making good money.

Get the ones who don’t want to work to dig up the speed bumps and use them to fill in the potholes.

Problem solved – mines a pint of mild or a large whisky if you are offering.
I wrote to the Independent Remuneration Panel for Wales prior to their consultation report for 2019.
I pointed out that would it be possible to impose a reduction in the remuneration, by imposing a penalty clause of £200 or more, on each occasion a Councillor is absent from a scheduled meeting.
It is imperative that money is spent wisely, and not on somebody who has taken no part in the business they were elected to do.

The reply I received said:– The Panel have considered your views and have no comment to make. This is not within the Panel remit as it is not a remuneration issue.
I always wondered what “considered your views” meant. It is possibly akin to “dismissed out of hand” or even “not read”.

I still think that Matt’s wag man could be the answer.

If the coppers were allowed to give a clip around the around the ear to youths committing anti social behaviour then there would be no anti social behaviour and no need for any street lighting.
Back in the day i applied for a job as a lamplighter but my mother did not like me going out in the dark so i had to jack it in.

You and him can come for a pint of mild and we can discuss the important things in life like 14 pubs closing every week. We can reminisce over the Raglan and the Regent and the Cockle man.
