I think we shall park all our particular political affiliations and actually compare the quality of services provided by each Council — such as Education, Social Care, Housing, Roads etc

If one county is better performing than another wouldn’t it be best that the one delivering the highest quality takes over the other. Looking at the issue of mergers based on the quality of services means there could be a win-win in both counties as there could better quality in either / both counties.

If we keep looking at Political footprints then we will never progress and where there are poor services they will remain poor as it shows there are either poor management areas or lack of investment. Vote for better services rather a particular Political Party proposal.

Hi this picture looks really artistic – take the lads away and look at the artistic way that the benches have been stacked it is a massive improvement in the plastic bottle top art that the Council paid £1000 to have for the opening.

I’m surprised at the location as it is effectively at the end of a No Through Road that on Saturday when there is football will mean buying a hot coffee that will be cold by the time you drive to the small roundabout by the Plas Coch pub. Christmas and Easter holidays are utter chaos.

That seems to be a layperson reason why it seems illogical yet companies like Costa and other mainstream national brands spend large amounts of money on-site surveys, customer flow projects and financial modelling that has a single purpose – to make a Profit.

Surely we should applaud any company that wants to invest in Wrexham- don’t forget it will be just around the corner from the new hotel apartments due to be built by the las Coch pub.

The moving out of the stall holders was more a tossing out – basically, some officers and Council Members did not want them as they did not fit the’image’ of an Arts Hub.
Might be a bit tongue in cheek but some of the stallholders stalls were a piece of art in their own right — Jim’s furniture stall could give Tracey Emin’s The Bed a run for her money

The sweet stall looked like a mini version of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory – Mike Mullen and his magic Carpet stall have flown back but his wings have been clipped and have to stay in his little stall.

The biggest issue on this project and other large ones run by the Council is that they don’t have commercial lawyers to scrutinise contract from the ‘bid suppliers’ which then result in things you would expect to be included being identified too late to find they don’t exist.
With the amount of work that has taken place post opening of Ty Pawb, there should have been a significant claw back against contract value for non-completion- apparently, the Council have had no contract fee reduction or compensation.

Matt – do you really think ‘Your Local Councillor’ will actually help with an objection if they are part of the ruling triumvirate.
Have you ever have seen anything that is ‘consulted’ on by the Council actually change as a result of the public raising concerns or objections.
The reality is that by the time anything goes out for consultation it is actually a foregone conclusion it will go through with minimal change as it will have been pre-approved by the Leadership.

This has taken over 4 years to get to this point after the first ‘Plan’ was thrown back by Welsh Government – plenty of time to have a proper consultation. They have only held three public sessions but in fairness, some Council Members have held their own meetings.
Very poor public relations with non-existent community engagement of any value.

The Ty Pawb car park is still run by the Council – the income is still going into the Council coffers – if a Trust had been formed the income was due to go to the new management entity.
Unless something has changed there will be no reason why Council staff cant uses their £100 voucher in this car park.
If they are restricted from using the car park then there will be a significant loss to the Ty Pawb fund to reduce the overall deficit.
