I’m exactly the same with my car Harry.

Anyway, I got a call back from the police last night and they are going to review the cctv and I have an appointment later today to go and see them. Although I’m not quite sure why I need to take my license, insurance and MOT, surely its all in the DVLA database?

I agree with some of the posts, it’s not speed that is the issue, it is lack of concentration and distractions such as mobile phone use.

I see this everyday coming off the industrial estate along the new link road, countless people on mobiles and my personal favorite people who get in the right hand lane at JCB and pootle along at 45 mph all the way to the Gresford roadabout, as they are turning right for Chester

I have not seen any police presence on this road since it was belatedly finished.

Just read in the leader that the council are proposing to charge for parking at Ty Mawr & Alyn Waters. Is there anything this council won’t tax? These open spaces should be free and accessible to all and they are already paid for with council tax so why would the council charge more for them.

If you need more money, stop giving yourself pay rises, get rid of the ridiculously outdated mayoral role and get the councilors to pay for their own parking

The general reaction in the leader is that people would stop coming.

It’s a sad day that a law has to be passed due to a small section of society having no common sense

Yeah stuff the 10% of the population! Stuff the people who have babies with nappies, stuff the food waste that will attract vermin, stuff the people who can’t get the skips. Let’s have rubbish in our streets for a month and yes that is just one part of the problem.

But hey lets stuff all the other services too!

This thread was started due to the council not having contingency plans and certainly wasn’t aimed at the striking public sector workers who most people agree have been screwed over again by the government.

However when you target the people who support you with such ill thought out comments and actions, that support will disappear.

Target the government not the people who support you!

I had my Octavia VRS done by FAT Dubbers who are behind FWB on the Minera industrial estate and it transformed my car. They use the Black Code system, I chose these based on their reputation and guarantees. They offer a 14 day money back guarantee if you aren’t happy with the upgrade, they offer a 12 months parts guarantee so if the upgrade damages anything, they will repair it and also a lifetime reprogram should the ECU need re-flashing by a main dealer.

Oh and I don’t work for them I was just impressed with the service :)

    Take a look at https://www.facebook.com/FatDubbers

Whilst I have watched Top Gear, I have also had the misfortune of watching cyclists regularly running through red lights around Wrexham. I have seen cars and cyclists slamming on brakes and swerving to avoid collisions and have even witnessed cyclists abusing ‘bloody car drivers’ when the driver has legitimately passed through a green light.

Also, yes I have witnessed car drivers jumping red lights (which I treat with exactly the same disdain) but with nowhere near the same regularity as cyclists. One thing nobody wants to watch is an accident caused by any road user not following traffic signals.
