A local car repair business was burned down this week. I believe a car was set alight which in turn set the garage on fire.

Its a poor roundabout to come on to from Rhostyllen. You have to watch out for traffic already on the roundabout as well as judging speed of traffic coming down the slip road.
I see the other side of your issue as I can only drive slowly around the island but cars coming off the bypass seem to think they have right of way even though I am on island before them. They then tailgate me all the way around until they take the Johnstown turn off.

Hope its not me causing you issues ;)

    Well done Rob.

Justjojo If I decide to go shopping I prefer to park once. I park closest to where I will do the majority of my shopping. In these days of environmental awareness are you advocating driving from car park to car park. Also if you read Rob’s research you will be aware that there are people who are not as fortunate as yourself and do take longer than the two hours permitted.

Wal mart and others need to understand they are not bigger than their customers.

The last I heard was the area was to be made into a country park AKA Hafod spoil tip. Although the 10 yrs it will take is a long time in planninmg, so who knows what we will end with.

Its an interesting one this. How come planning was given for the houses just the other side of GTH. It is on the same road, one unit along and further away from the village.

As there is already a noise issue at the site, it would make the land useless to be redeveloped for another industrial use. Would the council prefer yet another derelict building in the county?

The drivers around wrexham do not appear to know how to use trunk roads, frequently (daily) whilst driving in the nearside lane of the 483 I have driving pulling onto the 4833 who seem to expect it is the duty of the motorist already on the bypass to swap lanes regardless of traffic to allow them to join at their speed. They do not seem to understand that it is the duty of the driver using the sliproad to adjust their speed to match the traffic not the other way around. I feel the majority of incidents on the 483 are caused by poor car drivers not being aware of the road conditions rather than there being any safety issues with the design of the bypass.

IMHO I feel that the 483 around Wrexham is far safer than further down between Ruabon and Oswestry which I believe has had far more fatal and serious incidents. Could be something for a keen reporter to research. :p

Sounds good – how many do you use? Happy to replace any you want!

Hoping to do the same type of thing with cafes in town at some point :)

Hi Rob Usually have half a dozen mugs on the van. 7 if you include me.

If you are following the torch on Wednesday call in at the van (Rhostyllen) and there will be a brew with your name on it :D
