Point is they are surely supposed to be supporting local business- I presume they are also getting paid on a pay per click basis
It’ll be alright they are contracting with EE for G4 coverage–based on how long the system will be live the Council won’t have to pay much!
Clr Wynn thank you for a view from ‘the other side’– I did mention in the original post that Councilors had to contribute 6% themselves.
I am sure the car dealers and holiday companies will have afield day when counties merge with lots of councilors losing their role and then taking lump sums out of the Pension pot.
What is immoral about all this is that we the ratepayers are being hoodwinked when statement about how much a Councilor gets never mentions pension values.
How can an allowance suddenly because a wae for the calculation of the pension?Andrew as Leader of the Labour Group on the Council when will we here what your policies are and what you are hoping to change – it seems Labor as well as the Independents are now running around like headless chickens with no strategic vision or able to put alternatives forward- what happened to opposition at least putting a fight forward during a budget debate- looks like someone has bought all the Labour Group kid gloves..
