I admire the Highways Officer for standing up to the bullying of the Planning Officer (Just wish he had done it a few years earlier). I most certainly have no respect for the Vice Chancellor for throwing her toys out of the plan and now quite willing to appeal even though she knows that if she wins WCBC will have to pay the costs.
On appeal the Welsh Inspector for planning gave permission for a 300sq Mtr shop IN the new estate in Llay.
This is a 1200sq Mtr shop (out side the new estate) and is too large for the area. It will also bring havoc to the Crown Junction.
Blimey,throw a six to start,it’s still just a walk..
It’s not just a quick walk for everyone in Llay and surrounding areas. The Gresford Road estates are quite a long walk and the new estates will be even further. People walking their dogs want to walk in the park and NOT to the park. People with young children have to take them as it is not just across the road and is to far to let them go by them selves. The WCBC should pay for and maintain the play areas or otherwise not charge for parking.
The play area in The Alyn Country Park (Llay end) is paid for and maintained by Llay Community Council so why should the residents of Llay have to pay to take their children there?
I have no idea where you find the pictures Sheefag but that one is amazing. Thank you.
Why would he do that? He lives in Llay.
What the hell have you got against Andrew Atkinson. He can’t win in your book. Is it because he does not vote Labour or have you some other grudge against him. Whenever I have met him he seems a nice hard working guy. By the way turn on your spell checker.
Will you stop posting things such as that Sheefag, I hate it when I agree with you.
If someone wants to buy a house on land that is sinking due to Mining subsidence even though no investigation has been carried out by Wrexham Planning or the Welsh Assembly then good luck to them when they try to get insurance cover.
Every one in Llay knows that the land is sinking, even the farmer that sold the land on told people on the Gresford Road that they are lucky to have a house there as they will never build on that field as it is unstable.
Numerous coal seams are under that land and even three locomotive tunnel. It looks as if one of the locomotive tunnels has collapsed in the last couple of years and now flooding occurs in parts of the land that never flooded before.July 9, 2018 at 12:46 pm in reply to: Councillor wants action taken over Gresford travellers as soon as possible #152580
What the hell has Andrew Atkinson done to have his every move rubbished on here.
He went out to try to sort out the problem with the illegal camp on a Sunday while the rest of the residents were sitting at home soaking up the sun. Whatever he does it seems to be picked up on here and pounced upon with mindless and untrue quotes. If you think that you can do the job better, stand up at the next election and be counted.
