Fixed cameras are needed on roads such as A483, A5156, A5. These roads get abused daily especially by motorcycles on a Sunday. North Wales Police fail to acknowledge the issue and GoSafe couldn’t care less as long as they’re pulling in the cash on the Rossett flyover!
If it slows vehicles down then at the end of the day that’s a good thing. ANPR camera’s will also detect people who don’t pay tax and also dodgy vehicles used to bring drugs into our town. If you’ve got nothing to hide then you don’t need to worry.
Regarding joining the bypass where the 50mph limit applies; If average speed cameras were to be installed on this stretch they would have to put some at the beginning of the 2 slip roads that are used to enter the A483 (B&Q roundabout and Gresford roundabout). There would be no problems then.
The ones around Gresford roundabout area have all been taken away.
