AndrewmackembaileyParticipantOur MP complained bitterly that she was “ not consulted by the Welsh Government “ when they acted on the rising cases and health advice to impose a national lockdown.
It now seems that the UK government does not consult her , albeit weeks to late!
I presume she will swiftly change her tune on the lockdown strategy NOW!
AndrewmackembaileyParticipantStrange sort of “ health professional “ who wants higher numbers of infection before taking action. When challenged about nurses pay she was pretty darn quick to say “ health was a matter for the Sennedd !”
Even Boris is quoted in today’s Guardian that “ there is only one way of doing this and he is not prepared to let the virus take it’s course”
It looks like a case of “ look at me “ and the ultra loyalist has probably been noted as not agreeing with the boss!
AndrewmackembaileyParticipantLaybylily
You say Ms Atherton’s view are clear and quote her press release but you forgot the old adage that a picture tells a 1,000 words.
Some examples:-
Appear prominently and centrally in a photo opposing a local ( Gresford) planning issue but let others including yours truly, the local county councillor and the wonderful residents do the hard work!Photo shoot by Churchill statue , leave others to actually clean it.
Say the right words on local produce after lockdown eases ( sic ) but what picture do you choose . An American giant corporation. No wonder the local businesses kicked off!
Get the picture now !
AndrewmackembaileyParticipantHi Sarah 4 quick questions for you!
SA – ok
Me- what do you think of the reported lessening of food standards from the USA into Britain?
SA – ( quick glare ) – next!Me- last September you supported declaring a climate emergency in Gresford – do you think there is a valid environmental argument for eating less red meat?
SA- ( flare of nostrils) – nextMe- are you really helping local food producers in this promotion?
SA- passMe- as a health professional do you believe in promoting “ healthy eating ?”
SA – pass me the Pepsi on your way out !
AndrewmackembaileyParticipantVote the councillors out “ he had the good sense to make sure he did not infect anyone —- did not take the tube or train ,”
If he can travel 240 miles and back ( at least once ) without needing to top up with petrol , or electric charge – please inform me post haste where I can get this model of car !
Let’s presume they raided the larder and had a packed lunch – so no food stop. However if their 4 year old can last a 240 mile journey without a loo stop or two they don’t need childcare they should enrol him in Mensa and share their formula with consultant urologists and paediatricians ,
Therefore the likelihood is they needed services and there was a chance of these two infected people spreading the infection. Would it not have been simpler and less potentially contagious to bring the child carer to the child rather than the child and ( reportedly infected. ) parents to the grandparents?May 11, 2020 at 4:27 pm in reply to: Gower Homes – Chief Planning Officer – 44 Gresford Homes – Rejected upon Appeal #185889
AndrewmackembaileyParticipantNot only was I present at the July meeting I spoke directly on this issue and outlined the multiple reasons for rejection. Glad to see common sense prevail and that the planning, and particularly, the Highways issues were decisive. Whilst little sympathy for the planning advice in the report what is untenable is that since Aled Roberts and co bequeathed the council NO Local Development Plan ( LDP ) in 2011 and a shortfall in the housing supply Wrexham has been operating with their planning arms firmly tied behind their backs . Roll on a new LDP!
AndrewmackembaileyParticipantTo add to the frustration our Community Council has made tentative enquires about helping to resolve a long standing issue with soak aways that aren’t working .
The area – Clapper Lane will effectively never be a priority as it only inconveniences and therefore endangers traffic and pedestrians and not properties. Our enquires have been rebuffed as “we could not deal with insurance matters!”
Our indemnity insurance is for £5m !
AndrewmackembaileyParticipant
She got voted in. She doesn’t need to take any notice of you now.
Yes she got voted in and as I am a constituent surely she should at least respond when contacted.
I believe my councillor Andrew Atkinson knows I did not vote for him , and unlikely to do so , but to give him credit when I contacted him last October about an issue he took it up immediately and an officer of the council responded in the hour
January 25, 2020 at 6:52 pm in reply to: What will you do to celebrate Brexit day on 31.01.2020…? #180208
AndrewmackembaileyParticipantI am going to “ celebrate “ the fact that next week the NHS is going to cop an extra £350m.
I bet they are planning already- maybe a couple of extra GPS for Gresford surgery !?
AndrewmackembaileyParticipant
What a way for a “ caring “ MP to mark the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz this weekend but by voting to deny current child refugees their fundamental rights that were denied to so many in the last World War , with horrendous consequences.
I have written to check if she did vote with the Government who seem to have learned no lessons from the past!
Due to the lack of response by my MP , or her office I checked with “ They work for you”. Was not surprised to see she decided to mark Holocaust by voting to separate vulnerable refugee children from their parents. Not surprised but deeply disappointed, and what happened to the maxim “I will answer all my constituents whether they voted for me or not.”
