I don’t ever recall applying for a job at Asda but, I do the same as the checkout operators when i serve myself, and for less pay

Exactly why I don’t use ’em. Now, if I was being offered a discount for using self-service, I might consider it.

I’ve never used a self-service till, and never will.

Just after the Paris massacre the UK police were urging officers to have their names removed from local Electoral Registers for security reasons. I don’t think they put enough thought into that advice as it’ll not only make it impossible for them to vote but also to get credit, mortgages, verify addresses for various licences and future jobs etc.

Maybe a CCTV camera with recording would be better and next time it happens (there will be a next time). Whoever causes the crash can be prosecuted accordingly.

No doubt there’s going to be at least one prosecution in this case without the need for CCTV. In 99% of accidents someone will be found to be at fault. Otherwise, why do we have the expense of Accident Investigation Officers and the unnecessary closer of roads for hours at a time for them to justify their position ?

    a) They don’t use petrol.

    b) Dammed if they do grit, dammed if they don’t.

Because you’d have several villages where hardly any pupils attended just like it was back in the “good ol’ days”.

It’s far cheaper to bus the pupils to a central site than to maintain several small schools and pay under-employed staff wages.

Ordinarily I would just walk out in front of them and make them slam their breaks on and then proceed to give them a lesson in NOT being a plank but when I have my kids with me, I tend not to do such things.

Well, good luck for the future. Because when you walk out in front of me, or one of my vehicles, and get spread across the road, the forward facing cameras fitted to our vehicles for insurance purposes will make YOU look a complete plank.

BTW Breaks are what will happen to your bones.
    Brakes are what stop vehicles.

You need to get out more. Lots of schools, colleges and academies throughout the UK place adverts on public transport.
