I know that in England the North / South divide is generally regarded as being at Watford, but where is the North / South divide reckoned to be in Wales ?

And yet, despite all your bluster, you’ll still pay it. :mail:

Not a lot of point in posting instructions on how to log on if you have to log on to read them !

Don’t be silly. It’s the broken Toggle Floggle that’s stopping it going into warp-drive.

One of the problems these days is that organisations are quite willing to pay a million pounds for a modern, all-singing, all-dancing CCTV system consisting of 20 or 30 cameras to cover a town centre. Then they go with the cheapest company to provide operators to man it. The majority of operators are working 12 or 14 hour shifts on minimum pay and in many cases just one operator is trying to monitor all 20 to 30 cameras on the system.

As a licenced CCTV operator I can assure you that it nowhere near as easy to track someone on cameras as it appears to be on DCI Banks, Law & Order UK and so on. Most of it is down to luck, intuition and, dare I say it, stereotyping.

So few establishments these days are still using tape on a loop that hasn’t been changed in months and therefore is producing images of a very low quality. This is why you’ll often see images published in appeals that are quite frankly almost useless.

Depends on which CCTVs you’re referring to.
