R TKeymaster
Rob: I got the figures from the Excel file that was the last download link on the page that you linked to in your article.
Thanks – had not spotted that dataset.
I still can’t export the full dump of https://statswales.gov.wales/Catalogue/Health-and-Social-Care/NHS-Hospital-Waiting-Times/Accident-and-Emergency/performanceagainst4hourwaitingtimestarget-by-hospital – I could be being thick but it seems to only allow one month info at a time?
R TKeymasterKaty did you find a global export function or was it a manual job to get the figs?

R TKeymaster
Actually the figure is 10.9 DAYS not percent. It is a massive difference. It’s roughly a 400% exaggeration. Maybe if you actually read the full report rather than just rely on Website news, you would be a bit better informed. The report is available online. And no, it is nothing to do with me, I work elsewhere, so I don’t believe I need my ass kicking, maybe you do for grossly inaccurate statements though :-)
To give some info on the data confusion – percentage figures are mentioned in the article quoting the councillor – webcast link is here too : https://wrexham.public-i.tv/core/portal/webcast_interactive/399644/start_time/3894000/start_time/1756000?force_language_code=en_GB
The percentages do seem at odds with page 11 of the report https://moderngov.wrexham.gov.uk/documents/s13813/Item%206.pdf which has the table.
Lead Member and Officer did not seem to pull up any issue, with the latter referring to percentages in the answer and two different ranges (one clearly a percentage) when talking about targets.

R TKeymasterThanks to the reader in touch pointing out this is also a council car park, and did not appear to be gritted. I am told signs were put up saying this level was closed after this video was posted.
Just been sent this video of the new open air ice rink on top of Tŷ Pawb – person added ‘no signs, no grit’ pic.twitter.com/P6jJw8NLi9

R TKeymasterI asked Wrexham Council on this earlier today to fact check if infact a normal gritting lorry was in the councillor carpark around that time.
The question appeared to be passed to the relevant council officer and Lead Member.
Wrexham Council did not dispute the info, but replied with a single line that stated “Winter Service Policy attached and 3.2.2 makes the appropriate reference.”
The council’s winter service page ( https://www.wrexham.gov.uk/english/council/documents/winter_service.htm) still links to an old policy document rather than the October 2018 version I was sent – https://www.wrexham.gov.uk/assets/pdfs/key_docs/winter_service_policy.pdf however the below
3.2.2 in the policy document I was sent reads:
3.2.2 Priority 1 routes are roads carrying substantial volumes of traffic having
characteristics, which require protection from frost throughout the night.
These routes form the spinal road network of the Authority and merit high
priority to sustain the free flowing movement of traffic. They include:- Trunk Roads (50 kms)
Class A Roads (110 kms)
Class B Roads. (143kms)
Strategic Bus Routes Network
Main access roads to schools or establishments of higher education
(where logistically practical)
Town centre access and distributor roads
Industrial Estate Roads
Main Council maintained Car Parks
The 10 Priority 1 precautionary gritting routes total 40% or 500kms of the
total highways network.I assume the ‘Main Council maintained Car Parks’ is the bit that is being pointed to as explaining this was entirely normal and inside policy that councillors have recently approved.
R TKeymasterA reader has pointed out our quote-retweet from earlier makes no sense as the Deputy Council Leader deleted it. Tweetdeck still has it loaded here https://t.co/ZDxDPkP4PJ pic.twitter.com/YFvFil5Scu

Account has also been locked so now not public unless already following him, or newly accepted.
The tweet was still visible here via the Tweetdeck twitter product.
R TKeymasterClub are investigating two alleged incidents – sounds like police having a look into things as well https://www.wrexhamafc.co.uk/news/club-statement-alleged-incidents-vs-dover-athletic

I’m unsure if the 9 acre is the best site for a new school though as I always thought of that as a recreational green space near to town aimed at the use of the whole community
On that I am told the field is surrounded by a fence and is leased to the Football Club (the Boxing Club also lease the pavilion) so it isn’t a public space and hasn’t been available for community use for quite some time.
R TKeymasterBumping a thread that started in 2014 as this is up before the Exec Board now in 2019! (Almost wrote 2018…!)
R TKeymasterThe PDF is the snippet on substantive changes to the plan that is before councillors next week – the original plan with more detail is here: https://moderngov.wrexham.gov.uk/documents/s4153/Appendix%201.pdf
Bear in mind the Scrutiny Committee is looking at the information and I am sure they are often in the town centre and speak to many traders to keep a finger on the pulse of whats what.
Our report notes the Advisory Board – and hopefully the assurances about their work being made public will happen so minutes/agendas can be referenced.
