R TKeymasterJake said: “How come when I had stones, eggs and dunno what else thrown at me when on a motorbike on a 50 limit road by gypsy’s followed a police car down told them showed her my bike and everything yet nothing at all was done about it and I was pretty much mocked by them it was VERY LUCKY! I had my visor down and late at night that could’ve ended up really bad for me cause well coming off your bike or plowing into somthing cause I can’t see at 50mph ain’t going to end too well for me is it yet NOTHING AT ALL was done about it just made to feel stupid by the two police women I spoke too. And there’s CCTV there too… So you gathering evidence of it wouldn’t be too hard”
R TKeymasterBruce sets up a potentially good answer by asking: “How frustrating is it for you trying to do your job and uphold the law when you are constantly harassed and obstructed by barrack-room lawyers ?””
R TKeymasterStephen submitted several questions with a common theme indicating a certain scepticism on police and policing. Enquiring why police are ‘unpleasant’, ‘why do you arrest people for pointless crimes’ and finally posing a question of “Why do you think I don’t like you ?”
R TKeymasterArson has already been asked about earlier and has had an answer, but several people have been asking variations on the topic. James (a different one) asks: “Why is it North Wales police can catch a speeding driver doing 33 in a 30 but cannot catch the arsonists that is currently terrorising the town? Is it because they won’t make any money from it? And why is more not being done to catch them?”
Lorraine also asked about catching those responsible for arson, with Carl being blunter asking “When u gonna get of yr arses n catch the people responsible for all the fires”.
The overall questions from several people appear to enquire if it is a priority, and asking what is the difficulties in catching those responsible. Would it be fair to say it frustrates the police as much as the public?
R TKeymasterMark colourfully asked about restraining methods used by police, to paraphrase he said it can be assault if he placed a hand on a policeman yet a policeman ‘can kick, punch, bend ya arms ways that’s not possible’ and ‘we don’t get that option to call it assault’. The question (I guess) is what is the difference?
R TKeymasterColin asks: “Why is a police officer allowed to talk on a mobile phone whilst driving!”
R TKeymasterRyan asked: “Why is it I see the same drug dealer dropping off drugs at the same house every day/ every other day and nothing is done I’ve reported it twice and still nothing gets done” Joy added: “I say the same as Ryan we have drug seller rideing round the rd like mad man round the backs of were I live people coming in their pj buying off them. If a child was playing round were they turn and back out they be killed the police know about it and do nothing about it”
R TKeymasterMore of a statement than a question that has just come in on twitter just now: “we really struggle with motorbikes and scooters riding on the footpath outside the houses. Nearly hit my daughter!” What would be the right course for Jenny to take on this issue?
R TKeymasterAndy asks: “What more is being done to prevent the use of Heroin in our children’s playgrounds & the used needles left behind, such as in Rhosddu?”
R TKeymasterClaire asks: “how do I get a pushbike tagged up please”
