Is this a surprise to anyone ?

There are roads in Wrexham that were not resurfaced for over 25 years and having been resurfaced they are full of pot holes, cracks and subsidence in less than 10 years! Has the Council been economising in quality or are they being short changed by poor contractors?
They’re too busy putting bizarre traffic calming down, the one at the Aston Grove/Park Avenue junction being one of their finest
That was for the school. Unfortunately the school isn’t anywhere near where they put it lol

It’s right on a T junction which forces you onto the opposite side of the road. I’ve had so many near misses there as a hidden car behind the bush flies round the corner
If they had spent the money that they have wasted by putting traffic calming measures in place & then removing them because they realised that they had made a right mess of things we could have had the best roads in Wales.
Bang on Zinger, it’s any excuse to put down so called traffic calming that serve no purpose at all other than cause unnecessary congestion. Outside schools yes and as you say they’ve spent hundreds of thousands on them where they weren’t needed and now took them up again, Cefn Road a classic example, what a mess they made of that
Last week someone had been up near me filling in potholes… That didn’t exist beforehand! There’s now 2 long bumpy strips of tarmac sticking up proud above what used to be a nice smooth road.
Yet they can’t manage to go and fill some real potholes down the road which have actually caused damage to vehicles.
No wonder the council is skint.
That sounds about right. That is what really annoys me about speed bumps. The damage to your car. Those sharp ones on Rhosnesni Lane & in Gresford I hate. Boy racers aren’t bothered about their cars, easy come, easy go so it doesn’t slow them down.

Not all of them, have you ever been behind one with lowered suspension or a front body kit on? They crawl over them at 2mph before roaring off with their super duper loud exhaust 100yds to the next one where you casually catch them up whilst they negotiate the next one:rolleyes:
