If you ever wanted evidence how pathetic and ineffective WAG are in a crisis…look and read no further. Well done Rob on exposing such incompetence personified.
The company that owns 2 Sisters Factory on Anglesey are paying the wages of workers in full despite the plant being closed. Rowan Foods parent company it would appear are not willing to do the same.
At least the 2 Sisters factory owners have dipped in and put a £1 million down to maintain the wages compared with Rowan- could that be because in Anglesey the largest number of workers are local residents from Anglesey and Gwynedd — Wrexham has more agency workers who are East European.
Why have the company who supply the agency workers not spoken at all about the situation — as they placed the staff they should have a duty of care– looks like a case of profit before people.
Looks like there are lots of things going on that are being brushed under the carpet and increasing the risk for the Wrexham community.
Rowan has more cases now than at 2 Sisters at the time when Anglesey Council said no to opening schools – where is Wrexham Council with a statement about our communities are safe for children — is it because no one is prepared to say that.
Wonder if these are the Agency staff? The agency might receive their pay and distribute to each individual. Perhaps the agency/agencies hold the necessary contact information.
Or msybe not!! Looks like this outbreak will highlight the hidden workforce in the UK. How many of the missing workers are illegals brought in by gangmasters.
Even in this day we still have modern slavery even probably in Wrexham.
The authorities have a massive job on their hands probably with some workers to scared to talk.
Whatever the case , personation, agency workers or modern day slavery, the investigation must go on and the truth must be established. Someone knows these people and where they are.
Many of these workers get a large slice of their hourly rate taken by the Agency leaving them with minimum wage or below if they get accommodation- fear of losing accommodation will be one of the biggest reasons why these 300 have disappeared
