Wrexham’s Olympic events, the one on Llwyn Isaf and the other at the Aquaduct cost £5823. The lowest amount spent by any council in North Wales. The Aquaduct being a World Heritage Site gained plenty of publicity for Wrexham. Wrexham was also unique in being the only town to be mentioned by name during the Opening Ceremony.
Just for interest and comparison , Gwynedd spent a massive £96,000!

I know they had an overnight stay for the torch in Gwynedd but £96k is huge. Where was it staying, the Hilton?!
