Road was closed for over half a mile in each direction causing huge disruption to residents and local businesses. When the police were approached by a local businessman to ask why it was closed so far away from the incident he was told to go away.
Errdig has an event on this weekend and at peak time access in both direction was closed. There was no need and it was total over reaction and mismanagement by NWP with regards to traffic management.
Agree with all above, the Co Op is far enough from the road for it not to be affected. Yes if she started throwing things then stop traffic, but to cause that amount of chaos for nothing was stupid.
Find it weird how every rooftop incident now becomes a ‘protest’. The one on the roof of Walker Smith Way was hardly that principled: ‘We don’t want to go back to jail’. This one looks more like a cry for help from a woman who was probably not in a great state of mind.
The more attention you pay, chances are the more they want it. Best bet, ignore them and they might go away. Drawback? It might be someone who genuinely needs help and whether you slag them off or ignore them, you have to live with the idea of what you did and how it might have affected them.
