Wrexham secondary schools are not performing well when compared to others across Wales. Which ever way the statistics are displayed Wrexham does not come in the top half of the table ! Any ideas how things can be improved? Where are the weaknesses?

Anyone know why the examination results presented at the Scruitny committee today did not include those from Yale College?

Apparently Yale College is independently run and managed. Wrexham Council has no responsibility for it .

So the number of A level students under the responsibility of Wrexham Council is relatively small. Only one town centre secondary school has a sixth form.

CBI is asking the Welsh Government to look urgently at the state of education in Wales. It points to international PISA statistics from 2010 that shows the attainment levels of Welsh 15 year olds well behind much of the world. Why are we falling so far behind?
