A junction in Southsea has had a proper job done to a pot hole . Surface cut away , edged and filled properly with tarmac. Why isn’t this approach used on other giant pot holes in the town ?

I’ll give the repair until the middle of February at the latest before it starts to crumble – earlier if we get frost like today – from the picture it appears that the edge binding is not solid and will be a leading edge for crumbling.

The camber to the edge will create a water puddle that when frozen will be very dangerous –

You only need to see the workmanship on road repairs in King Street to realise that it is so poor that the bottom end has an built in speed rumble strip of about 5 mph- this stretch has been done on average twice a year since the bus station was built — why can’t the Council get the job done once first time around. The cost for pothole filling is 2- 3 times more than it should be due to repeat work.

Flintshire Council is using recycled plastic in tarmac as part of a trial of a new road surface. As the product is made in Llay wonder why Wrexham isn’t using it ?

Why jump straight in and start using an experimental product ? Let someone else use it first and see how it pans out.

With a new product there are usually a few free trial offers , perhaps some of our notorious pot holes could be filled in and we could monitor how long the “fix” lasts!

Percy Road is being resurfaced properly but travelling along Bennions Road that runs parallel to it, is like being on a Victorian drovers track. The pot holes have been filled a few times but now they are bigger and deeper than ever. It’s not far from the Guildhall so maybe some councillors could drive across to see it, then maybe something will be done !

Salop Road has been filled again.

I noticed on Monday nice new tar filled the holes.

By Friday the one on the junction to Link road at the lights had opened up again.

    Great job
