The road through Gresford is being totally resurfaced beginning at the Beeches Restausrant. The relatively little used Park Avenue road has been resurfaced from the shops. However the main Chester Road is crater ridden again from its junction with Grove Road and pot holed right through to the Gresford Roundabout. The pot holes are regularly filled with tarmac only to grow bigger in a few days when the tarmac wears always again . Does Chester Road meet the criteria or is it more to do who your local Councillor is ?

That’s a question we round here have been asking tbh. A road not far away was resurfaced when there were worse roads closer in to us. There is a councillor lives on that road though. We are thinking that the louder you shout the more chance of getting you’re pot holed road re-done.

I believe it’s the more people who complain about a pothole before something gets done about it. My guess is that any damage claims made against potholes would also fast track the road getting fixed as it would mean it would be costing the council money.

Having recently complained to my councillor about the state of the roads they said the same. More people need to complain to the council. I agree too one person’s voice isn’t enough

Surely Councillors, as our paid representatives using the town’s roads, should be well aware of where the worst potholes are . Salop Road is another atrocious one , not only deep potholes but a sink hole is developing. Perhaps we should organise a cycle ride for Councillors and Officers around the County Borough perhaps then they would really appreciate how dire the roads are.

The ones that the councillors live on will be first.

It’s like BREXIT. The more voices the more likely a road will get fixed ….

But there’s not 52% of people shouting please fix the road to 48% of people saying NO DON’T FIX THE ROAD.

Some might want a people’s vote on which roads get fixed and the terms of how they should be fixed.

There should be a backstop on how roads get fixed that are half in Wrexham and Half in Cheshire.

The question Wrexham.com should ask the Council is- How many miles of riad exist in each Councillor area, how many miles have been repaired and what cost and how many potholes have been reported per ward that have not been fixed- in fairness many peole grumble about potholes but dont report them so how can the Council fix them
