Welsh Government Face covering nonsense

WG could not have been more non sensical than the announcement today about school children wearing face coverings. How they can leave such vital decisions to individual schools and local Council is beyond belief- talk about not taking a leadership role.
Without a consistent message we are heading for local schools being in lockdown one at a time– just in case they have not realised children and young people from different schools mix in a variety of settings – sports clubs, uniformed organisations, youth activities and many more links. Having different school rules will totally confuse the situation.

So Wrexham Council have decided face masks in communal areas in Secondary schools. At least it will mean some level of consistency across the county schools. Whether or not it will work well and be effective remains to be seen.
