    The hottest ticket in town!

Rugby League World Cup 2013 fever has firmly gripped Wrexham with the match heading for a sell-out!

Fans keen to experience THE global sporting event of 2013 are urged to buy their tickets in advance to avoid disappointment.

With the likelihood of a sell-out, a decision on whether tickets will be available on the day will be made over the next couple of days.

Tickets for both games at The Racecourse are available online at Rugby League World Cup 2013, in person at the Glyndwr University box-office or by calling the Rugby League World Cup ticket hotline on 0844 847 2013 .

Match is almost a sell out mainly because tickets have been given to local schools free and offers like buy one get one free. Doesn’t this reflect fact that people will attend if prices are reasonable?

There are deals to get tickets at reduced prices; theres a ‘buy one get one free’ offer for the group game v USA and the quarter final, and there are promotional codes (e.g BOC) to get half price tickets.

I would add that the pricing has been very reasonable considering its a World Cup. The highest prices in the tournament are £99 (for corporate tickets) compare this to the rugby union world cup where the top price ticket will be £750.

I appreciate that money is scarce but its a World Cup, its in Wrexham and most prices are far cheaper than Premiership football or 6 Nations tickets.

Huge congratulations to the Wrexham: Bringing Rugby League To Life team from WCBC for their hosting and promotion of the Rugby League World Cup. 8019 spectators through the turnstiles and a thoroughly well organised event. There were hundreds fo school children, youth rugby teams, dancers etc who all enjoyed the day. The only shame was that the Wales performance didn’t match the effort of the organisers.

We still have a Quarter final in a World Cup in our home town which promises to be a great game Australia v USA.

Lots of people complain there are never any major events in our area. Well we have a World Cup Quarter final – lets give it the support it deserves
