I’m lucky enough to reach the ripe old age of 70. Every time I got a job I had to work a week or a month in hand. (before I got paid). what is the problem now, is it people don’t know how to look after their finances. They expect
everything to be done for them.

Same here Dagg. Nobody ever paid me until I had done the work. The Nanny state is to blame. My father worked long hours for low pay then came home & tended his vegetable garden to feed a large family.
