It appears the one way system setup on Watery Road from the 23rd September is already causing problems. Long delays on the Mold Road roundabout backing up onto the bypass during rush hour. The one way is going to be there for at least 10 weeks to do housing repairs- here we go again?!

It seems there are road works every year there, it’s a terrifically busy road too.

Glad I’m not the only one who’s noticed, Mold Road was a nightmare this monring. The whole area around the Maelor is terrible as well!

I think they like bringing Wrexham to a standstill.

Why has the one way system been installed and not one bit of work started? The congestion at peak times and the increased costs to motorists has all been for nothing.

I noticed last week that there was no work going on along Watery Road, does anyone know exactly what they are supposed to be doing along there ? If the start has been delayed couldn’t they remove the cones and open the road until actual work starts ?

All they’ve said is that it’s something to do with a ‘housing renewal scheme’. Today my tried and tested shortcut via Ruthin Road was blighted by a man with a stop and go sign, but as others have observed there’s still no work going on.

It’s the only two months of the year I need to go anywhere near the Maelor as my girlfriend’s on placement and once again it’s the two months they have a one way system in place…conspiracy!

Just seen the council’s update, stop and go has been in place since this morning and doesn’t seem to have greatly alleviated the issue.

another 5 months and we will have the annual A483 roadworks. (bet it will be bridge works just after j4!!) I have noticed there are some signs up between J3 and J5 saying 40mph but they are hidden atm:rolleyes:
