Wrexham’s £118 million tourist economy is great news but it is only a start.
Wales’s tourist economy is a massive £6.3 billion which divided between 22 local authorities produces an average of £286 million, which is nearly two and a half times the figure Wrexham earned so we have some way to go just to be average. Would be interesting to know the figures for Denbighshire and Flintshire.
Of course when you have local holiday park owners posing as ‘SS Camp Commandants’ on TripAdvisor you can see why people would absolutely want to flock to the area.
This story has hit the Sun and the Daily Mail. Well done Plassey Owner – way to make everyone feel welcome. Wrexham hitting national headlines again for all the wrong reasons.
Aye, must be the top topic of conversation in pubs across the UK, nay… all of Europe.
We’re finished, there’s no way back from this.
