Perhaps they could save more money with a local car dealership offering a ‘mayoral’ car for promotion —
It would also be interesting to know how much of the money allocated to the Mayor/Deputy that they actually put into charity donations as they go around– I’ve seen them do this but am also sure it wont be from their own pockets.
Perhaps this may (or may not) give some justification to some of the costs if they are making donations.
