When it suits Wrexham Council they can move like lightening, hence the clearing of the Groves site is already underway ! When they realised the car parking charges were too high it still took a whole year to bring them down and we are still waiting for their implementation !

    Wrexview,
Did you get to see anything else?

Wrexham needs an uprising of the electorate.

The chainsaws were out trimming trees back and they were feeding greenery through shredders. Yesterday there was a man with a tablet computer walking around the outside.

It looked like a laptop and the doors were open yesterday, however did not seem much more. There is word of a ‘survey’ taking place, however as of yet no details. As I mentioned to someone earlier, a laptop is not much use to chop trees down with :)

The Council issue plans to increase the number of trees in the County Borough on the same day they bring in the chainsaws !

Wrexham’s draft Tree and Woodland Strategy (2015-2025)

The Strategy sets out ambitious targets to increase the urban tree cover in the County Borough by 20% across the ten year plan, to help in terms of climate change, pollution, flooding and biodiversity . This will be achieved by ensuring the correct policies are in place in terms of planning and local development, targeted work will be undertaken to improve the wards with the lowest tree cover and the opportunity for grant aid will be utilised.
